I think of all the roles in the group, the tank has the least responsibility in this. Healer and dps can move around way more and click the WA 
Neither at the boss nor in the maze will this work out well, esp not if time is a factor. Everyone should know this.

I know how it works. I am just terrible at remembering the signs. If they were visible at all times, sure, but once I see a new icon, I forget the other one. That maze is a recipe to disaster if I am ever put in charge of that
Well its pretty much same during boss, where i as tank usualy watch for kick, freeze tag, dodgeball and when phase comes fast skull mark right one so people know what to burst, it aint easy but its for sure doable in that maze

I know how it works… I just can’t do it. I could if the icons didn’t fade out, but they do, and I have the memory of a goldfish. I am terrible with all type of math related tasks. Always was. Sometimes I even have to think what is left and what is right. Not joking. That said, according to science(?), this is often related to dyslexia type of difficulties.

I have a better method, I invite a PvE god to do everything for me.

This is why we have the ‘cheating’ WA. You just click on the icon where you’re at. And then move to the next to show it. Click the icon in the WA, etc. After 4 icons selected in the WA, 1 is getting a red border. Go to that one.
I don’t use weak auras, but I’ll give it a bit more practice before I admit defeat and use an addon for it… Think I have only been to the dungeon 3 times so far.

Or just get the WeakAuras script that deducts the correct answer for you. Why over-complicate things?
In that case try to use the chat, as others have mentioned before.
Just figure out a code that works for you, so that you can write it down quickly.

Actually. The default UI tells you a lot. Likely everything but exact timers. Boss emotes, visuals, voice acting etc. gives a whole ton of encounter information. I remember being told we should all try the weak auras for Aszhara decrees… I decided to try it, but uninstalled it next raid as I realised the default UI and actual encounter told me exactly the same as the addon did, which made the addon pointless in my case. Others prefered it as it said in text what your decree did. In my case I learned that all the decrees had a different visual, so the WeakAura served no purpose for me.
I have found DBM to act the same way, as I swap between DBM active and no DBM. Default UI just lack the timer bars, and doesn’t scream at you with an alarm on important abilities, but the info is there and fairly clear.
I don’t raid mythic though, only heroic.
Yes! I hope they end up banning addons in wow someday.

I agree, but timers are extremely helpful to prepare for the moment when big burst is coming, especially for disc priests and resto druids.
Yes, as I said… Timers the default UI lack, though when you have done an encounter a few times you will mostly recognize what the boss say or do ahead of an important ability, and not need the timer. Unless it is extremely important you hit the exact second(Healing on Brutallus in Sunwell/TBC days comes to mind…)
