Imo, to many people get way to easily wound up by people they don’t even know.

People seem to have thin skin when it comes to what they see online.

Go back to Tumblr Vulpie. As us Brits say, you’re talkin’ ballocks.

For some reason, people on the internet have gotten it into their heads that their political stance is a part of their identity and that they can’t communicate or co-operate with people of a different stance.

It’s as if people have completely forgotten what right and left even means. They hear so many stereotypes and false narratives from people of differing views and then when they get to the work place, they’re completely confused as to why people aren’t fitting in with their little stereotypes.

I tell people that I’m right leaning and then suddenly they assume I must be some kind of racist, when really I just lean towards the right because I like law and order. The concept of chaos and anarchy sound absolutely dreadful to me.

Slur definition:

an insinuation or allegation about someone that is likely to insult them or damage their reputation.

When you call Conservatives fascists, you are doing exactly that. Conservatives are not fascists even if they share the opinion of having the nuclear family in high regard. They are very, very different, and you know you wish to insult and belittle their views when you call the fascists.

As stupid as that is though, it isn’t even the biggest problem. The biggest problem is the result - people like you who now can’t recognise one because you’re sure you know what it is, but you don’t, and you will be completely unable to spot one once they show up.

The ideology you call fascism is the one that fought and won against it.

No they haven’t… in fact a lot of people remember how dangerous and futile Neville Chamberlain’s policy of appeasement ended up being.
One can understand that he didn’t want to repeat the horrors of WWI, while still being aware that was exactly what he enabled, through pursuing a policy of appeasement.

Odd how conservatives rail against ‘identity politics’…while clinging to its mast.
Example:

No, the reason peeps are mistrustful, is because that is precisely the demographic of ‘normal’ people who do not regard the people standing to the further right of them, as a deal breaker…that enablement, through inaction and excuse, is extremely dangerous… as history demonstrated.

You’ve posted that comment twice now…At least I’m engaging in genuine debate, whether or not you like my opinion… and you wonder why peeps make assumptions about whether or not you are as ‘centrist’ as you claim?

kornag i don’t mean to be direspectful in anyway but you could just not read those LGBTQ threads if they bother you that much.

What we know, is that NASDAP achieved power because conservatives didn’t regard fascist policies, as deal breakers…holding your nose while voting, isn’t good enough.

No, you’re not. You’re trying to convert people into your false way of thinking.

What you’re doing is trying to say “hey look, something bad happened in history therefore your way of thinking is wrong”. What you’re doing is trying to smacktalk one side of the political spectrum whilst also claiming that the side you’re smacktalking is the side that is intolerant of opposing views.

Starship troopers is not fascist I get why many would believe that but if we want to place it into a more correct label it would be Stratocracy or even democracy. Idk if you read the novels but i recommend doing so if you like the movie as it touch much deeper on the politics and the movie is pretty far stretched from the novel

As someone put it Starship Troopers is not fascist. Instead, it is an exploration of certain sociopolitical truths that, if ignored, doom a civilization to self-parody by the hemorrhaging of civic virtue.

Btw ty for reminding me about starship troopers, Cant wait for the new game to be released this year

That’s like your opinion, man.

I am quoting from historical fact and explaining precisely how ‘normal’ people voted for the unacceptable… your posts are excellent examples that mindset still exists.
You want peeps to let the Right-wing have a platform because naively, you think that will somehow stop them because they will look ‘silly’, it doesn’t, it makes them mainstream… and the fact conservatives regularly defend Alt-Right type posts is what actually blurs the boundary between conservatives and Alt-Right… which is something the Alt-Right very much desire.

Those who do not understand history are doomed to repeat it, NASDAP came to power not because peeps called them out…but precisely because not enough ‘right-leaning’ people called them out, because they thought they could control them, or that they would behave in a more reasonable manner when in power.

Remember that the media kept saying Twitler would be much more ‘presidential’ if he was elected in 2016, that it was just ‘campaign banter’… and he probably wouldn’t use Twitter directly, after moving into the White House.

If you read the papers from the 1930s, exactly the same things were said about criticism of NASDAP, being too alarmist.

No, I was the person who previously said cancel culture doesn’t exist and that freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences. That applies to the right, to the left and to everyone inbetween.

And yes, telling one side that they can speak whilst the other aren’t allowed for “moral reasons” is fascism at its core. Morality is entirely subjective.

They don’t, the “alt-right” are literally internet trolls that nobody really agrees with.

Left leaning people voted for them too.

No, I don’t. I do remember people saying that “Twitler” would start world war 3 though. How many wars did he start? Approximately 0, right?

The very fact that you’re literally comparing Trump to Hitler is utterly disgusting and is a direct insult to everybody who suffered because of Hitler.

Yet I haven’t seen a single pro-Trump newspaper. Every news outlet seems to hate him.

Seriously Vulpie, for the last time. Go. To. Tumblr.

Paul Verhoeven is on the record that Starship Troopers was a satire of fascism…he also directed Robocop, another biting satirical comment, on that occasion about Corporate America.

‘I stopped after two chapters because it was so boring … It is really quite a bad book. I asked Ed Neumeier to tell me the story, because I just couldn’t read the thing. It’s a very right-wing book’

  • Paul Verhoeven, about the original novel, the film is based on.

Verhoeven stated in 1997, that the first scene of the film, an advertisement for the Mobile Infantry was adapted shot-for-shot from a scene in Leni Riefenstahl’s ‘Triumph of the Will’ (Riefenstahl was a film director, employed by NASDAP).

Let me prompt your memory… and I’ll upgrade some of it, to P45 himself.

“The campaign is evolving and transitioning, and so am I, I’ll be more effective and more disciplined.”

  • Donald Trump, Washington Post

‘‘I will be so presidential…you will be so bored’’

  • Donald Trump, Today Show, NBC

"Don’t worry, I’ll give it up after I’m president. We won’t tweet anymore. I don’t know. Not presidential.”

  • Donald Trump, Rhode Island Election Rally

‘Here’s how serious Trump is about appearing more presidential: According to the Journal, Trump is practicing delivering speeches with the aid of teleprompters – a tool that most politicians use on a regular basis, but that Trump has often criticized.
“I say we should outlaw teleprompters for anybody running for president,” he told Iowa voters last year.’

  • NPR

Were you reading Tumblr instead?

Now I may just be a simple country orc, but isn’t it understandable to be intolerant of views that boost people who want to get rid of, and take the rights away from minority groups who have done nothing but exist?

And who exactly is doing anything like that, in the west at least?

Good luck. I paid virtually no attention to the 2016 elections or what any of the candidates were saying, so there’s nothing to remember. The only “information” I got was facebook feed, which was typically “Trump bad, gonna make holocaust and war”.

Turns out he actually made it easier for immigrants to get their US Citizenship and stopped wars.

Based on what you’ve written, I’m glad he changed his mind. People voted for him specifically because he was outspoken, turning into a script-reader would have spat in the faces of the people that voted for him.

Whatever Trump may be, whether he simply wanted to be President to avoid taxes or to feel better about himself is irrelevant. Comparing him to Hitler is disgusting and is a complete insult to everybody who suffered under the national-socialist Regime.

(Apparently I can’t use the shortened abbreviation of National-Socialist, but I can say Hitler. Alrighty then)

I knew you would immediately backtrack and give an excuse for not remembering, then leap to P45s defense…and you did not disappoint. Remember what I said about excusing and enabling?

Tell that to the peeps in the ‘For Profit’ Immigration camps.

As to Nukes:
'Chris Matthews: ‘They’re hearing a guy running for president of the United States talking of maybe using nuclear weapons. Nobody wants to hear that about an American president.’

Donald Trump: ‘Then why are we making them? Why do we make them?’

  • MSNBC

In January 2019, The NNSA announced that a new W76-2 low yield ‘battlefield’ Trident missile manufactured by Pantex in Texas, would be operational by September of that year, as ordered by Donald Trump’s NP Review… because the existing arsenal were ‘too big to use’.

2019, Trump withdraws US from Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty.
2020, Trump withdraws US from Open Skies Treaty.
Leaving only the New Start Treaty nuclear arms limitation treaty in place, which is due to expire anyway in Q1 of 2021.
The US never ratified the CNTB Treaty.

Ok, just… I’m dumbfounded, you’re joking right?

I haven’t backtracked. I said “No, I don’t” to “Do you remember”. One cannot remember something that one didn’t experience.

Yet he bombed less people than Obama. A lot less.

you mean those cages that Obama’s administration built?

Are you done yet? What’s the ultimate goal here, convert people to your form of fascism whilst claiming that it’s morally just?

That isn’t going to happen.

No, I’m dead serious. Who is denying you your rights and which rights are you being denied?
