Horde side I think Mok’nathal, Ogres and San’lyn are probably most wanted.
Alliance side I think High elves, Thin humans and Sethrak.
What i would like mostly?
- Man’ari Eredar
- Ethereal
- Nagas
- Suramar NPCs lineaments for the Nightborne
What will probably happen instead?
- Vulperas
- Mechagnomes
- Gilgoblins (maybe)
- Ankoan + Jinyu (maybe)
The Naga topic is a little harsh, but i think they are trying to find a way to make them playable, because both the old and the new hd models are able to wear gear, the boots are just hidden and the pants are just glued to the tail, replacing the tail textures (same for the bottom part of the chests in case of full dressed or kilts), wich i have to say it makes it a little bad at the look.
On MMOChampion there was a topic about them called Nazdorei or something like that, it’s an interesting read, the idea of the OP was to basically treat them like the Worgens (kinda), with the Nagas swapping the model to a Nightborne one with some scales on the their body when you have to mount.
It’s interesting, i would advice to give it a look if interested when you have some time.
Horde: Vulpera and Sethrak
Alliance: Arakkoa and ankoan/jinyu
I like you a lot.
just add more pretty races, ty
No more races please. But if they have to do those, another cow race would be neat.
what i want: high elves and murlocs.
what i forsee: not those 2 and i don’t care about any other one
Murlocs would be interesting but I have a hard time seeing gear work on them.
I think the most likely next pair will be Vulpera and Mecha gnomes.
We just got Kul Titans.
They’re single-headed though
What about Murlocs infused with the magic of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms?
What I want is no more Elves.
We’ve got playable Horde Night Elves and playable Alliance Blood Elves. We really, don’t need anymore.
Strange thing that noone is complaining about the four human races.
Vulpera, Sethrak, San’layn, Ankoan, Arakkoa
^
I believe these are really asked for, a lot, especially by looking at Megathreads and Discord numbers.
High Elves too…but uh, that’s a whole different story I guess.
I feel like Arrakkoa are highly possible considering their model in game is already playable in the form of zandalari boomkins.
It would take minimal work.
An un-broken Arrakkoa might be fun, but I don’t fancy the hunched and crippled ones that were the mainstay of WoD…
Do like Saberon, but they’re very… big. Would need to be brought down to a more draenic size to be sensible in cities.
Or just, you know, add something that makes pandaren relevant again. It irks me that we have such minimal presence, despite being literally only the reason that monks exist. And monks are an underrated gem of a class
I totally share your thoughts.
Jinyu/Ankoan could strengthen pandaren spotlight potentially perhaps
3-4 new races using blood elf model i think
Playable grumle
Jinyu would be ideal for 8.2’s watery theme, but it’s probably too late to capitalise on that now. To really make a jinyu (or naga) playable race shine, every expansion from here on has to have a water zone.
Personally I’m not against vulpera because they are adorbs and Horde really need a cute race with all the doom and gloom under the mad queen.
And I know people are going to be all “omg moar furriez” but what else can be done? There are 2 kinds of orc, 2 kinds of troll, 2 kinds of dwarf, 2 kinds of human (3 if you count forsaken), soon to be 2 kinds of gnome, and way too many shades of elf. Other than a straight halfling ripoff, or something very alien from draenor, there is nowhere to go other than ‘beast’ races. I don’t think even D&D has come up with more humanoid-but-not-beast races.
(And WoW is a D&D rip. Sorry, but it is.)
Yeah, that’s what i was thinking at too
Too many elves are always an issue for peoples, but no one really consider that we have 4 human races in the game (and potentially more if we look at Vrykuls etc)
