Mount in the maw

How much rep is needed for this? Cant say ive spend much time in the maw simply cus there are other more fun stuff to do than running around in the maw

Killjoy  everyone knows one can do that, yet we all constantly ask other people questions.

If you take the human factor away, getting info becomes a GET method for the Google server :stuck_out_tongue:

It was just curiosity, I’m a druid and worgen dk so… :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Don’t remember, not that much. Mb week or two of quests.

Come on, not having mount in the Maw is not that bad.
You have teleporters for starters. Running from 1 quest to the other takes at most a minute. About 20seconds if you just kill a mob that has a mount.
And it only dismounts if you cast any spells or attack.

Doing all dailies should take you round 20 minutes at max.
This just feels like babyrage at this point.

The slightest inconvenience and hells break lose in some ppls fragile minds.

Hell you even have your own hearthstone in there to Ven’ari.

How about robotic engineering mounts? They should work just fine in hell.

At first I was like “oh thats kinda cool I guess, a dangerous zone”.

Now I’m like “Yeah, I’m not walking that far for one quest. I just wont do the Maw today.”

I understand the RPG aspect, but they could add more stables around for the maw hounds.

You dont have oil to grace them nor fuel/batteries in Hell :stuck_out_tongue:

I have oil in my bags, not a problem.

Next theory?

it’s the hell of warcraft.

when you try to summon a mount, it will ignore your call.

so, you find a beast that’s living in that area and use it as a mount.

Sounds pretty logical to me.

How you obtain this beast is just gameplay.

All thats probably true. Once you know the layout and have access to a few of the teleportation devices then its not too bad to get around, and shadehounds are like buses…you dont have to wait long til one appears!LOL

I think the problem is that the inconvenience has to match the reward to make it worthwhile. Alot of people just arent finding The Maw all that rewarding.

the issue is not that its hard, takes long time etc. Its just not rewarding. And doing something that is not rewarding, even if it takes 20 min, is just plain boring and imo even to some degree time consuming.

We are all paying for this game and as the goblins says time is money friend.
You also have to grind x rep to avoid some debuffs in some zones (like Otherworldly Screeching) so ye, this debuff litteraly makes 0 sense either.

As a person that mains druid for this season but also keeps a raid-ready paladin alt, I can assure you that being able to mount/move faster in the Maw doesn’t make it any less tedious, boring or annoying. The problem with the Maw gameplay loop isn’t mounts.

It was supposed to make the Maw “feel” a certain way, and it was supposed to make your eventual ability to use some mounts in the Maw seem special. Basically, taking something away so you can feel good when you get it back.

As for me, the only thing it did was make me have no interest in setting foot in the Maw outside the weekly souls quest and the walk to / from Torghast.

Because Torghast has a mount after doing 1 gazillion boring levels of it in Twisting Corridors. That’s about the only reason there is.

The maw on my druid and the maw on this one are 2 completely different zones. On my druid it’s almost bearable.

The reason is just to annoy you, although little reason to go to the Maw other than the odd campaign quest and getting weekly souls, other than that the zone is pointless.
