The boss hits hard sure, but nothing an average group cant handle. If you kill yourself from reflect then ur doing it wrong.
Find a lock, go in catform and let him tank, if Is destruction whit the nether can almost do alone
Then one of you is doing something very wrong. Having healed it myself, with my offspec resto shaman gear the first week after launch, that consisted mostly of lvl 60 pre raid gear and some stuff i collected while leveling.
If youâre feeling creative, the boss does actually move really slow, like a random world mob. Thatâs not much faster than players, so a tactic with deliberate ranged overaggro, kiting and only taunting when he corners his target can work.
Yeah, no, you didnât. Even with full t3, you canât heal that boss on the first week. The avoidance doesnât work, there is no partial resist on his attacks and you canât mitigate his damage with shield block or holy shield. Not to mention you need heavy DPS group to even attempt that boss, as it is a harsh gear check.
Saying you did it week one on the weakest ST healer is an absolute lie, especially not with the 30% med resto logs you have.
Armor doesnât work versus shadow damage btw.
Itâs not physical.
Its more about stupidity of TBC tuning HC dungeons are lower PvE tier than raids and yet even normal mobs (hello hellfire orcs) hit harder than Gruul for instance
Edit: I like it btw, but its plain stupid. I understand why people are upset.
This is a 100% bug and is not isolated to HFC. Mobs, in the entire game reset their auto attack swing timer with each skill they use, leading to a combo of 20k damage in a single mele swing.
The casters in Durnhold can do mele swing, fire blast, mele swing, cone of cold, mele swing in a single cast.
All of the charge - auto attack mechanics are the resault of that bug.
Prince Malchezaarâs âwindfuryâ combo is the same bug, where he does a mele swing, SWP, mele swing, enfeeble, mele swing in a single cast.
Itâs a well documented, well report bug and it hasnât been fixed yet⌠I have no clue why.
People: Blizzard make TBC harder, its so ezzzz
One hard Boss: exists
People:
You gotta learn the difference between âhardâ and âmonsters one shotting tanksâ
i have a pala buddy that runs mana tombs hc every week. what he does is aggro the boss, have the group move in the room past him, di the healer
fighting that boss does terrible things do ur sanity, just skip
Itâs an easy boss if you kite him, he wonât be casting the aoe much if you just keep running away.
No need for heavy SR.
kite it bro, u dont need SR
Sure dude, lets assume im lying and not your group doing something wrong, im guessing every group thats been running MT since week 1 is just lies because you arent able to do it.
He hits hard yes, but far from impossible, proper group setup, good dps and a tank that knows how to play is all you need.
Healing logs? Really? :- the fact that you even bring up healing logs is reason enough for me to say that your group definatly had l2p issues.
Shaman are by no means weak ST healers
I managed to heal it with a Warrior tank without any resistance gear, its hard but doable
Kite him around, bring a pala/ priest. We did it without shadow res gear, had 3 1.5k dps players.
Just go round. He drops same loot on normal as heroic except the badge and there are many easier bosses to get a badge from instead.
Mana tombs got its own heroic loot table, and is not the same as normal.
Dunno how good the loot from 1st boss is outside of the enhancement shaman relic thats bis for a couple of phases.
first week of tbc, i went MT-hc on my mage, the tank was instant 1shotted during boss shield reflection, I did cast âSlowâ {arcane talent} on boss & kitted around the room, boss died!
Who need a tank ?! GFG
(( deep arcane mage with imp Blizzard = facerolling all hc trash & Bossâs, blizz for trash & arcane slow on bossâs since slow works on most of bossâs if not all. Thatâs TBC-C joke heroics. ))
Fair enough. If youâre an elemental shamn youâre gonna have to kill it. No other loot is BiS.
Sounds like all you need is an arcane mage
