There are places for that, such as the famed “meme roofs” of Stormwind. Boralus main walkway as well.

Just yeah, throwing about “:3” ir reddit topics and whatnot in /say when people are clearly in character is seen as finger wagging behaviour. There are plenty of places to do that, but not so many where you can actually get some RP going, so I guess it’s understandable.

This is really good advice.

Generally it’s quite easy to blend into an RP server. Just behave like a member of your PCs race might. Failing that, just don’t respond with pop cultures or memes when people talk to you. That alone will get you a pass.

Despite other rumours many RP communities and guilds are very tolerant of people looking to dip their toes in it, so long as that’s their actual intention, so newcomers and self confessed “badrpers” are welcome. I was one once upon a time myself, and although I don’t RP as actively as I used to, I always maintain IC demeanour when people clearly communicate with me IC themselves.
