Well, I’m always proven right, long term with the “Less is more.”
Once I quitted after SL out and a bit weeks played. Feel SL so horrible for me and I leaved.
When I returned late one year later in DF.
(Since I watched blizzcon show cool items about TWW.)
I found DF so enjoyed play and remind me MoP style. I liked story and play style.
It’s my fave expansion.
Hope TWW have same from DF or MoP
Really? Because to me it’s Danuser’s writing in a nutshell, this whole underselling something and teasing the grand reveal for the future, only to postpone it and offer a small peak behind the curtain and then always tease and leave people guessing.
That’s every story and every character since Battle for Azeroth.
And it’s been awful.
If there’s one thing Blizzard needs to get right with story, it is to deliver some pay-offs.
This whole “Next time on Dragonball Z…” is getting super annoying.
Well, Danuser is no longer there and Metzen is back in charge.
Therefore, I will continue to prefer Iridikron over the recent past failures from 2018.
And Metzen’s first course of action seemed to be to do absolutely nothing with Danuser’s dragons.
So make of that what you will.
I will.
Now, agree to disagree and stop replying to me
It has gotten to a stage now with me where they have all blurred into one. I’m pretty sure after playing a few days of this next one I will be getting confused as to which one I’m playing.
Anyhoo… from the getgo Dragonflight was tedious. Why we have to gather recruits and then ride on a boat , it was pointless. It wasn’t atmospheric or enjoyable. And you are telling me that Archmage Khadgar couldn’t have simply created a portal to the place. Just that this opening jaunt pretty much summed the game up for me. There was no feeling of of actual adventure or exploration. You can do this stuff with your eyes closed. Same stock environments and and same stock mobs filling in around poorly animated dragons. I seriously got bored in a heartbeat.
My guess is the new expansion won’t be any different. Just your usual animated intro, some nonsense pontless opener to get you where you are going and then back to the simple kill ten of that and retrieve 8 of the other. Like I say it just blurs into one . I’m pretty sure if I was magically transported back to Northshire Abbey to kill Kobolds I’d do it.
Sadly they ran out of ideas years ago. Just look at the supposed pre-launch event. Just rubber stamp mobs onto an already created and populated map. Would be amazing to see how much cutting and pasting is used in these games now.
So my conclusion on Dragonflight is that it was just the same as all the rest. Level to cap in a couple of days. Travel the map to get to the final hub and sit around waiting for repeat content endlessly day in and day out just in the hope of adding a few stats to your gear score. I guarantee that it will be hardly a month into the new game and folk will be complaining of nothing to do.
By the way, I don’t play the game as it is intended to play. I just find it way too boring. I just use the WoW universe as my own personal playground. With no focus on end game nothing really matters. So no pressure. I also manage to avoid Mr Fixit the very annoying Archmage Khadgar, or WoWs answer to Donald Duck. Always good for a giggle watching his confidence turn into pittiful failure. He does make me laugh. I see he just managed to mess it all up again. Whoops.
Sorry for being so negative, I have dreadful tooth ache. Anyhoo that aside I’m off to see Frank in Everlook. I like the snow.
