I wouldn’t know, I really have avoided pvp, including achievements for holiday events. Hence why I never finished them.
I have nothing against PvP, but it really (no longer) ain’t for me ![]()

Hello Berqueen
at this point everyone here knows that i try to talk with honesty all the time/
so i give you my honest opinion here
im one of the oldest wow players here and i can confidently tell you that if you are a real wow player or if you love something you will not just leave it for 1 or 2 or 3 bad things or the things that are not in the way that you like them to be,
(talking based on years of experience)
look at me i allways complain about pvp-economy-graphics of wow- engine- report system
even pve and so much more , but i dont say i dont like the way that you update that and this so i cant play the game anymore Goodbye>
anyways i hope you find your game in your next advanture or whatever that you like comes in your life . Good luck
Wait what pet battles go away, man this xpac is everything i’ve asked for so far. My prayers are heard! Imo useless and removed dev time from more important stuff like open world content.
Totally agree, either make normal new LFR and scale heroic and mythic down, so just a name change. Or remove mythic. It’s not helpful for the health of an mmorpg imo but a minor issue. Biggest problem of it is a lot of dev time gets wasted on it that could’ve been spend on open world content.
Absolutely.
Yes! Open world content needs more love.
the most important thing is world map content not pvp and m+ in my opinion
because everyone and everything starts from there
I heard about this, there is literally no reason for them to remove this. I know a number of people who will stop wow because of this part alone, besides the " more approachable" game ![]()
And why should they do this?
If there are more people doing Mythic Raids than Pet Battles then why should they discontinue Raids?
I mean… I always doubted the existence of an invisible mass of “Solo Players” that enjoy the open world. There is no data on them… sure… but things like these sort of confirm my observations when I fly through the open world. I just dont see them !
Either they hide very well, or they are simply not there.
No no, that’s not what I’m saying.
I’m saying “if other systems, like for instance mythic raiding, have equal or lower engagement numbers as pet battles, they should be removed too; if this is indeed THE reason that Ion gave.”
We don’t know numbers though.
It would be very interesting if they published some.
Wouldn’t even have to be real numbers; just percentages.
What is the cut off, in the pet battle case for instance. What percentage of players were actively engaging with the system?
But the thing is: Basically everyone engages with it while leveling and questing - at least once. Most WQs are just rehashing quests you’ve done while leveling up. So all in all a great percentage of players engage with that content.
At this point in the expansion; yes it’s going to be more quiet.
And yet: When I’m looking for a group to do a world boss for example, I always find one within a very small amount of time (maybe not in the middle of the night, for obvious reasons).
The # of people (to be more specific, toons) doing Mythic Raiding is known. And while smaller than Heroic Raiding, it’s still a significant amount. Same goes for M+.
What you can do is try to estimate how many players, just in those 2 modes, are. And it put the number in the millions.
I highly doubt that there are 10x million people hiding in the OW. Its probably less than that. Otherwise, wow would have the player count it used to have in WotlK and it would be all over the headlines.
Then what is the point of WQ if nobody does them? Just do a cool campaign and leave it at that.
Is it ‘known’?
Or is it ‘estimated’?
Big difference. I don’t think we know anything. Blizzard does.
Because people DO do them.
I do them still. Not as much as I did in DF and earlier expansions.
Because they’ve added delves which have replaced my ‘power progression journey’.
So I now only do WQs for a weekly or for some gold if I feel like it.
But, as I’ve already explained in a post, it also has a lot to do for me with me just not liking most of the zones in TWW. In that regard TWW has been a bad expansion; thankfully there’s other things to do for a player like me, but in terms of zones it’s not a good expansion imo.
I hope Midnight will be different. We’re outside again mostly; which is good.
I need zones that I want to spend time in. In TWW that’s only true for the Isle of Dorn.
Anyway: Your personal experience is not the universal experience.
Didn’t you say recently that you mostly play late at night? Well, there you go: That’s immediately a different experience than ‘the norm’.
The same. Ive always said that raids should not be tied to the end of a story. Why do all that questing if you didnt or cant raid?
But perhaps you still like yo comment on my comment that what you are lauding is still content removal.
Do you enjoy content removal?
Think carefully.
But here.
As you like emojis.
Celebrating content removal.

I actually agree with this but for a different reason. Heroic raiding is largely doable without addons (I’ve done it this tier), so if they want people to happy without their DBM. Making Ahead of the Curve the best achievement makes sense, especially as it’s also the most popular raiding achievement that requires some effort to complete.
I’m not for the content removal.
I think Blizzard could have done better.
But I genuinely tried to give the OP an alternative to what the game will be removing and recommended to keep an inactive account so he can log regardless and play the content if they decide they miss it.
No malicious intent from my side or celebration of content removal here ![]()
Known. 100%. Note that I said specifically ‘toons’. Not players.
That data comes from the API. Its 100% accurate. If you COMPLETE an M+ dungeon, your character shows up in raider IO.
The uncertainty comes from that your alt also shows up. And you will show up only if you complete the dungeon. If you abandon the key it wont.
1.5M keys were completed this week (from the 4M in week 1). How many people do YOU estimate are playing? A couple thousands? Some million. Somewhere in between?
Its not difficult to atleast know the order of magnitude of players engaging in M+ (and raids).
Absolutely.
And even at 2am on a Monday there are 50 people in the summoning stone of any dungeon. Which already sais something dont you think?
Imagine in prime time. On a Friday at 6pm or something… ![]()
If not enough people do them (like pet battles) then they will, and should, get removed. Because this is not the first expansion I see the OW zones completely empty.
This one might be ugly and people dont play it. But what happened to the DF zones? Or the SL zones?.. those were empty too…
The way you feel inside and the way your sad psyche wants to portray your message to others tells me that you need to write a book! ![]()
Would you like me to tell you story about how i got booped in stormwind ? ![]()
GUYS BLIZZARD MIGHT BE REVIVING ME! Have you seen the bluepost, sorry for caps just too excited and have some relief :')
I don’t mean to stir the pot, but PvP in WoW was an afterthought that was added in. I can’t see how it still contributes to the story of the game as the faction wars as good as ended.
So approaching it from this point of view, I do understand where they come from with that statement.
Could you link it please?
