I can indeed be empathetic with your core issues, I wouldn’t say what you’re feeling is wrong but I do feel liek you need to open yourself to others, creating relationships and friends within warcraft can actually help resolve those issues, Though if you feel that these issues are that strong…
Well then I can only suggest you speak to someone proffesional, Sometimes people cling to this game for dear life not because they love it but because it was a coping mechanism for past trauma…
I would know I only played this game so much because I was ferociously bullied as a child and it was my only home, Please seek help or if you just want to chat to someone please reach out everyone deserves to be listiened too, somethings do go deeper than others think and may not realise it or fully understand it which is why you may find some commentars harsher than others.

main thing here is that wow most people Find that they are obligated to do every daily Qeust, Grind like Conduits etc, as Thorgast when SL launched, you see if i dont want to play I dont play tbh. thats it even if it means i get behind i dont care. and thats exacly the problems of most players and then they blame Blizzard. no its not blizzard its you that tells you you need to do it tbh.
Well getting a legendary is pretty important. Goodljck getting into groups for m+ and things without one…
Oh and I thought this is a rant about how fast you still level up and that the scaling is overtuned because you level up faster then you get better gear and so have as a newbie to git gud harder then in Classic or being forced to do dungeons to stay up to gear and so up to scale.

I have had the same thought many times! But I did quit all my toons guilds and moved my main characters to AD. Now I play m+ with pug and same with raids.
I have a much more healthy relationship with WoW ever since. AD as server is the best recovery since most players don’t care about the comparative part of the game there.
But also I have found many other games outside MMO genre. There is so many good titles 2022 to explore, I can’t believe that I haven’t played any other games since 2005, I missed so much!
That was the least of my problem i got the 2nd legendary when it released, the first one also easy, i played 2 a 4 hours a day maybe because i wanted too.
So, you had a previous negative experience of which you contributed to, created a new account to start fresh and then decided to tell a story on the forums so vague it is all but meaningless to other forums users and then the minute you get asked questions you don’t want to talk about it?
Making a thread to say pretty much nothing makes no sense. You’re not helping other people by doing so and you’re certainly not helping yourself.

Right now I am playing Warhammer 3 Total War and God of War Ragnarok alongside WoW. Isn’t that wonderful? I am no longer beholden to just 1 game anymore because I have change my mentality and thinking. Now I treat WoW like any other normal game that I will play when there’s a new patch or expansion drops and then take long breaks to play other games. I feel so much free now.

If you were truly free you’d be able to play your main account and other games.

Ive been in your situation, not the same but similar. I left the old perspective and the game, more or less, for 17 years. Today I play the game the way I want to. Ive always loved the idea of a fresh start. What others think of your approach is obviously highly irrelevant. GGWP

Yes, I agree. It is good to know when to quit.
Another thing, also remember to enjoy any game. It is supposed to be entertainment.
Pushing, staying relevant, being desirable by others, hunting achievements - all this is fine if you enjoy this.
But once you start feeling exhausted, irritable and bored - quit.
There’s nothing worse than playing something because you must.
