Mythic Dungeon and Mythic+ Tuning – 7 March

people test this on PTR in bis 670 gear

Of all the bosses we have what do bad about this one ? There are like at least 2 worse alone in that dungeon . Idk what exactly u wanna nerf them , if abything they should look at other ones ( like swamp guy in flood )

Who cares? 99.9% don’t face this issue. The top 0.1% dictates it. I don’t see a problem.

The only thing that was not ok was the player perception of some specs for easy keys.

:man_shrugging: What’s the point in making changes to a dead season? It’s a waste of resources.

Well, if you somewhat grasp how it all works you wouldn’t have asked this question. They don’t really dictate the difficulty directly. They design problems, we design solutions. These solutions can vary in difficulty, in setup, etc, so your first and second question is hard to answer…but yes, they need us to solve their designed problems for them to figure if it was too difficult or not.

No, they haven’t always failed. Some seasons were great…many even.

Or just shorten the seasons to 10-13 weeks. We don’t need to look at many seasons to see a pattern in activity…

That is assuming the meta is just 0.1% as powerfull than the rest. Then yes.

People play the game because they like it. But people keep playing the game week after week because they have a sensation of progress. It can be via rewards, rating, whatever.

Once you hit a plateau people stop playing. Hence, why you always have a decline in participation as a season progresses.

And its not the top 0.1% leaving. Its the 99.9% you mention that do.

So I disagree.

The season is dead BECAUSE changes were not made. That is my point.

Alwais failed to tune in time. No season was ever perfect.

So what you are saying is that because they cannot address particularly difficult/easy dungeons in a timely manner, you want them to simply delete the dungeon and make a new set of dungeons faster ?

Seems to me like its killing a fly with a cannon.

I don’t see much support for the point that more aggressive tuning makes players stay longer / be more active.

So yes…then shortening the season makes sense as we do know for a fact that every week of a season players tend to leave, sometimes with a bit of an up-down motion. But after a short up it usually goes down twice as fast. And once a new season starts, it spikes again.

It also spikes with balance tuning patches.

If you do that every week, then the drop in players will be overall lower.

Hence, there you have your reason.
