New 6-month mount and no new content

Or just buy it on the store, since it’s also on the store.

Obviously yes, because as a business they would rather have a guaranteed 6 months sub than one that could end in one or three.

How can they lose money when they, as mentioned above, have now got funds guaranteed for approx six months worth of playtime, as opposed the gamble that maybe a player would only sub for less time?

Ooh if its on the store, I may be tempted, but my IRL commitments wouldn’t allow me to take the 6 month option.

Edit…after looking at the store, I think I’d rather Squeakers lol

Well ye they do. Their Monthly Quarter Revenue’s since for years of years says hello. Always mentioned they had HUGE revenue from their MTX (Buying store mounts) and so on.

So yes. They do.

Do not blame the Devs, blame the people who just can’t resist constantly forking out those 6 month sub money or 25 dollars.

And those People buy it EVERY SINGLE TIME. No matter how much we complain people will still buy them.

Store mounts are the CoDs of WoW.

I’ve never understood this thing that people deem others have no common sense.

If you are not playing WoW or don’t think you are going to play continuously for six months then there is zero point in signing up for a recurring six monthly sub, even if it’s the best sub price deal with a free mount. It’s not a good deal if you are not playing.

People can just buy the mount if they don’t want to commit to a long subscription time or they can grind gold in game and convert to balance and buy the mount as if it were any other vendor you grind currency for in game.

In my case, my sub runs out very soon and no blue shiny mount is going to make re-sub to six months game time that I’m not going to play. I will most likely return for 9.2 but atm I don’t know. There are grinds for collections I could do in game in the mean time but I’m just fed up and frankly bored.

I do like that Blizzard give us some freebies for block subscribing, I haven’t liked all of them but as they are free I don’t really care if they don’t all appeal. None of them are exclusives, they are all available in the shop.

I have my sub up until March, all bought with by tokens, I quite feasibly have enough gold to allow me to sub for the max time, I choose not to because IRl has a nasty way of biting you in the bum so to speak. I subbed upto March solely down to 9.2.

I for one wouldn’t sub for 6 months using cash, as I have better things to spend it on, priorities and all that. However, if someone does wish to do so, that is entirely down to them and their circumstances, and I have no say in their decision as it doesn’t affect me.

Each to their own so to speak.

I have friends who haven’t paid any game time since the tokens were introduced. They aren’t a booster either, just someone who does enough daily stuff to generate enough gold to pay for the monthly token.

It’s because this chinese new year is a water tiger.

I do not understand why people complain every time the 6-month sub mount is announced, as if it is a new surprising thing. It happens every 6 months and we always get a chinese new year mount in January.

I have enough at max level to earn me circa 30k to 40k just from mission table, always helps when you hit max level on all 23 companions, as every single mission is a win.

However, that is the way I like to play the game, gathering and setting targets and reaching them, I think with enough characters this expansion is throwing gold at you more than WoD did.

Edit… Just checked my logs, have gained 300k gold in the last week (thurs to thurs) just down to playing the game and having enough characters.

I actually like that we get access to the Chinese New Year mounts.

Given the rate of release of any content in the last year or two, I’m surprised the 85% figure isn’t being queried…

I mean you seemed fairly confident on the 85% part, and the esport events basically guarantee a release within the next 6 weeks sooo…

Yeah the 15% sound far more interesting.

It’s been 14 months. Assuming you subscribe for 6 months at a time you pay €11/mo. Assuming you do you have had to pay thrice. That’s €198.

For Korthia.

Let’s add Shadowlands, too. €238 for 9.0 and 9.1.

Good deal imo.

Honestly I don’t think anybody would scream about mounts you get for long subs or CE’s if the game had enough content to go around. Blizzard always did CE’s, nobody complained about it. People complain about it because they feel like they only get anything if they commit to massive spending only to get a mount - and if they refuse get nothing.

Like you had to buy Shadowlands stand-alone, and all those €198 in sub money I mentioned earlier got you 9.1, which is Korthia and the shadow phase in The Maw, Tazavesh, and Sanctum of Domination. And that mount.

It’s a bloody rip-off.

I don’t actually consider the monthly sub expensive but people have different views. It’s only good value if I’m playing. I’m barely playing at all atm and my sub runs out soon and I’m not renewing at present, not even for a blue kitty mount.

When we get 9.2 I will most likely be back. I don’t know if I want to commit to a 6 month sub at that point though.

Not everyone subs continuously like you suggest. Many do the content then take a break until the next content. The cost varies completely from person to person.

Thing is, the mount is on the shop, so if you, like myself don’t want to commit to 6 months, the option is still there to get the mount, I must admit, I am tempted, but there again, i’ve always loved Squeakers, so i’m torn between the two lol

I will have to make a judgement call. If I’m only going to be back for like two months then take a break again, I will be better off buying the mount.

We will see

If you line it up you can get multiple items.

I subbed right as the blue bird was ending and got it, the babies and also the tiger. It’s a big saving compared to buying all the stuff individually.

I prefer transmog sets over more mounts, honestly.
But this was the chinese new year thing, so yeah.

Next year I’m curious what they’ll come up with since it’s the year of the Rabbit then.

Ooh OOhh rampant rabbits!!!

no wait!
