Absolutely yes pls.
It’s not that it’s a “bad” model. It’s actually quite good. Just…
- How is it shamanistic?
- How is it a heroic?
- How is it not evil?
Maaaaybe kul tiran? It’s a stretch I know.
Great raid boss. Not a player character model, ever, no. If you aren’t troll or orc, this just isn’t you. Imagine a tauren shaman turning into this. Why did they do that? What does this creature mean to them?
This is like Apotheosis, it should make our character MORE of a shaman, not some weird shadow demon with glowy hair that harks back to an era nobody remembers.
Blizzard, please, this clown face doesn’t feel like something I want to see more than once. Make it something I wait for and when Ascendance pops it feels amazing. Current model is better, at least don’t take it away.

model indeed looks awful, nothing shaman like about it, more undead, lady waycrest feel than anything else, with some silly big red hair slapped on top of it. But more importantly…the timing.
Ascendance is currently garbage for elemental, farseer helpers dont scale with mastery, lava surge nerfed into ground, so basically barely use lava burst, and dont use ascendance at all, yet you bring out a new model for a cooldown talent we currently wont be using as its useless right now, and still has the same issue, 2 spells only, lava burst and lava beam…a talent for a class that is still one sided into terms of its element, its only fire.
It certainly wouldn’t be bad to change the hairstyle, but otherwise it’s very good that Blizzard is listening to the community.

when i first saw it i was like holy **** thats ugly i’m glad i dont play fire, now they rework ascendance so i will actually have to use it and i’m dreading it
i REALLY hope they will add a glyph so you just get the special effects and without shape changing into a crack clown, because the fx actually do look really nice

We’ll have an Ascendance that uses all the elements but the form is still tied to fire.
It doesn’t make sense…
If they want to keep a single form for all races, it must look like an avatar with some animations that recall the elements:
- rocks orbiting around the avatar;
- electric sparks from the body;
- flames from the head;
- vortex of wind that keeps us levitating;
- ice crystals on the body.
Omg it’s so ugly … Haha
