New engine for the game

Yeah its kinda moot to minmax your pc for wow performance, but its easy to get a ‘good enough’ performance level.

On the bright side your minecraft will run like Usain Bolt

Easy to say if its an orc standing on a fireplace.

Get 2 paladins and ray-trace the disco of light that comes out of there… my computer would burst in flames…

Like the modded Skyrim?

Wow what helmets are those?

Theres Quazii guide on how to make the game run smoother.Options and stuff.Check it out on yt.Mine is around yours in price too.It helps

Just let AI optimize code…

Yes please. Game been badly optimized stuttery mess since dragonflight pre-patch. Doesnt matter how much money one would put on their pc wow would run bad when they do raid or pvp.

Turns out the server code was mostly intact which is why it has so much problems today. Ff14 can arguably have a better graphics engine but it’s server code is poop.

Not everyone can look as dashy as credulon with his shiny rgb glasses

surly its alwasy blizzard fault, not your or your pc

wont happen.
its just to risky and take years and the era of big mmo rpg is over.
The investment isnt worth.

Lokk at new world how badly its doing now

With quick googling you can find that there has been bugs on code since tww launch that affected the games performance. Or that performance issues since dragonlight have been affecting multiple builds with varying hardware indicating that it likely arent anything specific on players end and the one common nomination between them is that they play this game. Not that optimization has been good in general (which could be used as reason for bad performance) or that the engine would support multi threading a lot either. Anyways, I dont really put much value on what people say who start conversations with others with clown emojis meant as somekind of insult I suppose. Dont be too supprised if I simply dont care reply on anything further.

Doesn’t wow use its own proprietary engine built from scratch? It would be a monumental workload to make a new one and port the game to that, like we’re talking years of uninterrupted dev work, it’s not like them just porting it from UE4 to UE5 and recompiling

I approve

It does, its even the ancient warcraft 3 engin which was custom made.

It woud be to much work with little payoff so Blizzard won’t do it.
A new engine isnt automatically compatible wuth the game-again look at FF14 1.0 with ita crystals engin which qas at the end a huge mess

Check your add-ons and WAs. I was running elvui before. Replaced it with cell, bartender etc and the game runs a lot better. The typical in combat elvui stutter is gone.

Generally optimising add-ons helps. I have a specific profile that only runs essential add-ons for raid. Ez fps. Wow just doesn’t handle too many threads on CPU that well. So every CPU strain from add-ons takes it away from game. CPU doesn’t matter in that case.

i bought one for 2400 and i get 100-180 fps in lou.

I have 122-144fps (I cap it on 145fps cause 144hz monitor) in dornogal, and Im using 5600x cpu and 3060 ti for gpu on a build I made for about 1k euro over 5 years ago.

Even in blitz my fps never dips below 80fps, its the micro stutters introduced to us through dragonflights pre-patch that irks me, likely caused by their bad optimization for an engine that does not utilize multi threading really well but they still have made the game more cpu demanding anyway with all these procs going on in pvp and the amount of stacked modifiers.

Even with dragon riding on high speeds the stutters were evident and major topic of performance issues in dragonflight valdrakken, now it seems to be the middle area near forges in dornogal that will cause small micro stutter when flying in the city or when there is a lot players around.

On frost mages I also notice small 0.5-1sec hic up now since dragonflight when pressing icy veins in arena or blitz so there is something with the haste and the amount of procs and the water elemental it summons I imagine which causes it. On arcane it incur when there is dozen orb procs among with other million procs popping up for buffs and things. Its very easy to pinpoint the cause for these stutters in pvp and raid type of situations with other players around (other players increase load on cpu in mmos), its the amount of procs that are now too big strain for engine to handle with our cpu and the engine not taking full power of our cpu with multi threading.

The cpu dont only have to calculate our procs, it also has to calculate all of everyone others procs as well and do the math for all stat changes and variations their modifiers and all causes. They have made the game too cpu heavy is my guess. And if even current cpus cant handle the game too good thats also good sign that there might be something to improve on their optimization for the game on blizzards end. They just have to not make it as cpu heavy by bloating the game with this many procs and modifiers. Its kinda boring from players end as well to see 5 billion procs going off or try make sense of it all, one just gets numb on seeing 5 billion things in the row of buffs and procs.
