New Human Hair Colors in Patch 10.0.7

Interesting the hypocrite attitude here in the same response. First you say:

But then you say

So, you do care about people using unrealistic hair tones anyways.

You are jealous on changes made for people (that are not yourself) which make the game appeal to them more than you.

In other words, you are jealous (even it is just passively) that Blizzard is more listening to other players than your demands.

I care about the storysetting maintaining a serious tone, and with the recent sassy dragons and the twitter tier social media dialogue weā€™re presented with, Iā€™m not holding my breathe if Blizzard at some point will add an NPC into the story telling and expect you to take them seriously.

Thereā€™s a difference. Exactly why Gnomes were never, or not often used much in a serious setting of storytelling.
Can you name one, one character with dyed hair colour to me? From Warcraft till the last expansion? Just one, go ahead and name me one. A human, or an Orc. One.

I find this an interesting point, because yet, thatā€™s part of the reason why I am frustrated. A metaphor as someone said ā€œthe equivalent of a little girl taking her older brotherā€™s GI Joeā€™s and having a tea party with themā€.

The metal feeling of Warcraft is slowly being taken out of the game and making space for an audience thatā€™s alien to the early setting of Warcraft, and would even find it offensive and triggering.

By your definition, they already have. Look at Kalecgos. Neon-Blue hair, emo/depri-look. Whiny attitude sometimesā€¦ Does that ring a bell?

They already did that. And considering we are talking about Dragons that can pick ANY appearance they want and imagine, it is very clear that this doesnā€™t matter at all.

Also, if you want to have a serious tone in a story, I recommend you play games like Doom, Warhammer 40k/Fantasy, Halo (especially Reach), Dark Souls, Mass Effect, Dragon Ageā€¦ Or any other game that isnā€™t WoW.

Thatā€™s what I would consider a ā€œserious toneā€. WoW was always ā€œon the edge but never aboveā€ in case of seriousness. The only prime examples I could name from my perspective as a relatively new player is Legion, some instances of BfA and SL and maybe some from WoD.

Since stuff like S.E.L.F.I.E cams are canon lore in the game.

Wrath may be (in regards of the main story line) the peak example next to legion.

Because Gnomes are not the ā€œface forward to the frontierā€ species in the lore. Why would an Engineer or Inventor EVER be at the frontier in a cinematic, throwing hands with an Orc or Transdimensional Being???

Idk what you expect but you donā€™t put a species known for being mostly scientist in their culture on the frontier of a war where they would likely get attacked, killed and (probably eaten) by creatures or enemies.

They donā€™t have any logical reason to put themselves into danger with a few, rare exceptions like the High-Tinkerer with his combat mech.

You also donā€™t see Prophet Velen throwing hands with some Orc on the battlefield. That just doesnā€™t suit him either both in character lore and appearance. He is a spiritual leader of the Draenei. He would never fight for himself (nor did he ever in the books, he even let himself and others get captured by the Orcs on Draenor without resistance, despite seeing all the Orcs of the hunting party wanting to kill them if it were not for Durotan).

All Draenei could serve as an example. Considering player characters as Draenei can pick between various hair colors that are anything but natural.

Same counts for various Elf races in WoW. You can literally see the purple hair of the Elf in the official WoW trailer from 2003ā€¦

The only difference from the image I shared about the SL Draenei hair colors, is that their hair is not so over-saturated as the (and I want you to remind of that fact) WIP Images we have seen of the current PTR 10.0.7 hair colors, that are very likely to change their saturation colors.

Thatā€™s with all things that change over time. Imagine how society felt when Black people got their right to vote or when women werenā€™t forced into the kitchen anymore. You are sitting in the very same, uncomfortable position as the critics of those social changes back then. Because you refuse to change your mindset and be open to new things, even if you donā€™t like them at first.

Great, I can finally identify myself in WoW with these haircolors!

I donā€™t even use twitter but ok. Go ahead and make your false accusations, express your insulting ā€œhatredā€ against others not sharing the same views and ideals as you.

I will just go ahead and put you also on my forum blacklist so I donā€™t have to read theā€¦ Whatever you call that opinion of yoursā€¦ that increasingly lowers my own IQ just by looking at it.

Enjoy your day and future in a ā€œchildishā€ WoW that has always been like that.

A ā€œchildishā€ expansion like Dragonflight is only fitting for that age rating.

Dude, me wanting to go back to a serious, dark setting of Warcraft and you somehow saw a political movement in there.

Whatever saves me from reading your trash.

Funny that you say this, while at the same time opting to move away from those ā€œdark, early timesā€.

I personally the how these bright hair colors look, but i know some people like bright colors. Its a cheap option to give people, just turn some color slider and you get new options.

I wish they rather came with more beard options for alot of races instead

You basically put him on the same level as racists and sexists because he dislikes the increasing infantile elements in Warcraft. The aggression clearly came from you out of nowhere.

This is basically an act of cowardice and defeat.

10hairs

happens a lot on this forums.

soon as the heat turns up they run and lock themselves in the fridge.

No, I didnā€™t. I only said that he is not open minded to changes like people in earlier decades. I never named Asjon one. I said he ā€œacts like a critic back thenā€. A racist is not a critic, a racist is an active oppressor. Thatā€™s a fundamental difference. Asjon is arguing against it, he is not suppressing anyone really with his ā€œdemandsā€.

There is no real ā€œwinnerā€ and ā€œloserā€ in forum arguments. Just heated minds clashing each other.

We are not a political senate that debates changes of laws and have to agree on a solution, we are players from various backgrounds and cultures that each have different opinions and mindsets that DONā€™T have to agree with each other.

I put everyone on a the forums blacklist that tends to start insulting other people or me in the process of an online argument, because I really donā€™t need in future arguments to talk to the same people that have no restraint over their rude expressions in form of insults because they canā€™t handle their emotions and talk more logically.

If you see that as a ā€œdefeatā€ gesture, thatā€™s nothing I care about. Feel free to see me as a coward if that is the definition for you of a coward. I donā€™t care.

There is still a saying ā€œA wise person changes its mind, a fool never willā€. And in that case I am the wise person because I have come to the conclusion that arguing with @Asjon is a lost cause to me and only wastes my time I could spend more effectively on something else.

Look, I dislike the blue haired Twatterazi as much as some of you do but really, this is a non issue.
