Put it this way, I look at the 400 as the goal but after that it will feel slightly hollow to have nothing else to aim for. I sincerely wish they would, it wouldn’t take much.
What are you even talking about? I’m not talking about collectibles… You said Ion only understands m+ and raiding. I’m telling you he really does not get m+ in the slightest.
You said he doesn’t get it by ‘making’ you play other modes.
You don’t need to put it like that to make it sound like it isn’t true. Domination sockets are stupidly strong even if the set bonus doesn’t work. If you want to stay competetive and push high m+ you are forced to raid.
Imagine if Blizzard said something along the lines of “M+ is it’s own thing and we want it to stay that way”.
They may add another regular mount but for the reasons I explained they wont make it a multi person carrying mount that is not available through any other means.

I would love a new mount collector achievement. I’m almost at 400 (395 at the moment) and every time this has happened in the past, a new achievement has been available or available after a short wait. Mount (& pet) collectors work hard to build their collections. I was sad when they stopped the toy collecting achievements as that had been fun too.
Mount collecting takes people back into earlier areas so is excellent for new players; it also gets people exploring new areas thoroughly rather than racing through.
If Ion has already said no, that makes me a very sad draenei.

Mythic raiders have their own armor version.
High keys in M+ dungeons gets rewarded with mounts and teleports.
Gladiator pvp:ers gets rewarded with their own armor and mounts.
It’s only fair to rewards us extreme collectors/achievement hunters too.
Another reply from me for the same thing. I know it’s the reality and I can see this, but think of it like this.
The Brutosaur, is one of the most unique mounts ever made with the AH. For it, you needed 5 Million gold. You could say someone was a gladiator at making gold, thus that’s why he has it.
Why woulnd’t we, mount collecting gladiators get something unique? I know it’s not your fault or anything, just gonna put that out of the way so some white knights won’t bash me that I’m negating you. I’m not, just having a conversation & putting out my thoughts.
Just having something to collect is fun? Can’t really explain it any other way.
Irl people collect stamps, magnets, toys, postcards or whatever. I have quite a bluray collection even though I’ve seen all the movies several times, doesn’t make me like them any less. It’s the same thing with the mounts.
And I’m not even as accomplished a collector as say Puny.

Me a very non-gold making player, farmed the bulk of the gold. The only part that annoyed me with the Brutosaur was that it wasn’t made public that it would be available only for that expansion, until very late on. Had I known I would have prioritised getting the gold at the start.
On the whole Blizzard have been very resistant to making multi person carrying mounts. They are happy to make them carry two people and in some cases three. There are multiple sources available for that. The only only multi person mount was via an achievement chain and it only works with the party you did it with. Rendering it mostly useless.
So if they were to give in and give us a carriage or something similar it would not be exclusively from mount collecting. They would add it similar to last time or they would have to add them via multiple sources. It is highly unlikely they would add it via mount collecting only because it would would essentially force the playerbase into becoming mount collectors to gain access. That is not something WoW is going to do.

This. I’ve never had much more than 1mG and tend to spend it if I go over that. I’m pretty sure I could have got the Brutosaur had we been given more time. That disappointed me.

I had to buy my last million with tokens, yet I had 2m at start of exp that I spent which I would have dedicated to the bruto, if they’d just been upfront about it.

Yeah, I don’t like that they are against adding more achievements either. I don’t PvP but I’m not upset that PvP has achievements and rewards. So let collectors have theirs.

You can put it in as the next mount reward and then have another carriage added further down the line through another source given Mount Collection rewards are not unique anyhow. Likewise you could do it the other way around.
As for the flags. It could have flags tbh. Of both factions. If they go through with the faction merge then it would be quite splendid.
The Birds are from Cataclysm actually (firelands. Ragnaros and Meta Achiv). The raven mount is TBC or Cata based (Anzu and Alysrazor). The icy infernal is from Legion (Gul’Dan drops both other variants)

no thanks. all good new mount ideas will be introduced to the in-game shop.
Thing is though, they constantly add rewards to the game which are out of reach of new players. E.g. It’s only a very very small percentage of existing players that do Mythic Raiding, so basically any reward that grants a Title/Mount based on completing a Mythic raid is almost certainly out of the reach of almost all new players, no?
I’d argue collecting a few mounts is a much smaller mountain to climb for a newbie.
It’s just such a weak argument.
