Gotta say, a couple of hours of TWW from 70 to 80 sounds incredibly jarring. As if it wasn’t already. That with DF being 6 zones from 10 to 70.

Why not just squish the levels too? That way they can feel meaningful.

1-5 Exile’s Reach.
6-35 Dragonflight
36-40 TWW

Zooming past the current levels makes those numbers completely meaningless

Please make Chromie time scale all the way to max level. Not in the first season but maybe halfway through the expansion.

They’ve done a level squish once before, largely for the reason you’ve outlined.

This is the second time my character has been level 80. It’s been as high as level 120.

And there’s certainly an argument to be made for having another level squish.
They’re not doing it for Midnight though.

Having to do the whole Dragonflight story (Not related to Midnight)
Doing an accelerated play-through of The War Within (Directly related to Midnight)

Backwards Blizzard

this should be the main way to level. but i guess they decided older content is lost except for remix or classic.

They will probably do it once worldsaga is finished .

I would like a new levelling experience in the old world (EK and Kalimdor), along with a level squish, which takes us from 1 to level cap (Or at least up to the latest expansion)

The current scheme, 1-10 in Exile’s reach, 10-70 in Dragon lsles, 70-80 in Khaz algar (All in ludicrous speed to not lose the fickle attention of the players) is just a band-aid fix, dinging a level every 2 or 3 mobs becomes rather silly, IMO.

Hopefully after the World soul saga…

if the game stays…

This is precisely why i’m pro WoW2 person.
Game being big as it is, new players have to skip 95% of the game.

I think leveling should be slower than now for new players, and faster for players with many max level characters. Why not lower the base exp and make the alt-warband exp buff stack infinitely for the current wow expansion, and reset each expansion again, as the level cap increases.

Pretty likely, they’re adding evergreen systems like housing that took a long time to develop, that doesn’t really say “We’ll be closing up shop with the game in 3 years” to me.

I wouldn’t want Blizz to make WoW 2, after the debacle of “Overwatch 2”, and with 20 years of collected stuff on my account, i’d be reluctant to start all over again, TBH.

It is faster for us

I don’t personally think it’s a benefit for it to be slower (than now) for new players though, just puts them off if it’s a big arduous task to get to max and be able to play with friends.
