Oh, I also have Prat, useful if you have to relog as it saves your chat and extends what can be said.
If you have TRP3, kui nameplates is cool as it shows the RP name over people’s heads.
As an aside, you can also attach images of an offending profile to the ticket report. You can even include an offender’s links to external, inappropriate websites if need be. The GMs I’ve spoken to all seem to appreciate extra information like that, and it seems successful action is taken more often when I include these extra tidbits.

Im intrigued that no one mentioned Kui nameplates addon. While not an RP addon on its own, TRP 3 has a built-in plugin for it making all the custom names appear instead of character names in all their custom color glory.

Hello friend, I’ve a suggestion for that; if you are glad you don’t have to RP because the RP community is putting you off then perhaps it’d be worthwhile to consider playing on a non-RP server.

The brilliant thing about server drama is that you always have to the choice to not engage and just let the drama llamas be drama llamas. Don’t let it put you off. Rise above the BS, find some cool people to RP with and forget about the rest

my favourite rp addons beside TRP3 are emote splitter, listener and crossrp. none of them are essential to get going but as you start going to big server events, getting more confident in your emotes and wanting to rp cross faction they become super useful. good luck out there!
Listener should honestly be as standard as TRP3. I would probably rather have listener at this point if I had to choose. It’s so good bros

Listener makes events with more than like, 5-10 people actually tolerable if you’re not completely alert while TRP could be replaced with a thing that let you extend the name fields without losing too much.

HUGE DISAGREE to me trp is absolutely integral to getting to know a character, and the creative little choices players make about name colour, icons and the glances are so so important and telling about character. I love trp so much.
that said listener is incredible and i’d be dead without it also because chaos is not my forte.

Due to me being Dyslexic I also use misspelled which helps a lot and i find valuable.

I actually can’t abide all that stuff now. All those sliders, those custom icons people have, the colours, the theme music references etc etc… It’s really made me consider going right back to using nothing but title and surname fields.
That’s the magic of TRP3 though. You can skip over all that fluff and go with simplicity. My preference for sure.

I think the point is that all that fluff is pretty extraneous if you mostly skip over it.
The only feature of TRP bar the name and title I find myself using much at all is the quick glance bits, having a little hook to approach a character you’ve not RPed with before with is useful. Unlike making ones name pink or green or telling someone how Paragon/Renegade or Chaste/Lustful ones character is.

This, I only fill in basic stuff like names, titles and at first glances.
(and to sometimes give people a hook to approach me if they feel it, the hometowns because, useful if its a small town!)

Same for me, unironically never ever read character’s story tab. At a glance tabs are cooler
