So what? In mop and wod i played warrior back in the days i didnt care about rating just go to arena gear up to full in conquest gear and have GOD DAMNN FUUUN. Now casual pvpers cant have FUN. Thats what im talking about we dont care about your RATING titles and mounts i beat many rated players in duels there is not only arena in this game… We care about FUN world pvp , duels, and bgs and arenas for duuhh FUN.
Yes you can have fun, you just need to understand you are a casual and someone who invests more time will always smash you.
Also, stop talking about “we”. There is a strawpoll on the forum. Besides the fact that 99,9% of the playerbase does not even care, the ones who do still prefer the ilvl gap which absolutely contradicts your statement.
On top of that you are talking out of your a*s, there been more than enough people who could not enjoy unrated PvP at all because everyone and his mother been afking farming honor instead of actually working for their gear.
Just NO. They can SMASH me in PVP with their SKILLS not gear nad thats FAIR. If its gear then its not FAIR its not pvp its pve wanna be pvp. Im talking WE cause i have friends in this game and they share my view. And thats my second account cause i have played vanilla a little bit bc a little bit and wotlk. Then i left i created this account in mop i think. Never mind. Those who wanna smash others with their gear not skills are kinda pathetic. So once again NO. Bring back true wod pvp gearing or more will left and then only people like you will stay and you guys are MINORITY. SO GG HF! Im not gonna play for your entertainment so you can smash me with gear and stupid pve convoke.
You must be completly new to WoW(or trolling). Somebody who never ever touched it when it was actually worth paying for - for both casuals and tryhards, otherwise you would not be spilling nonsense like this all the time.
As casual I never felt smashed by hardcore player on gear because he invested more time and effort before BfA. I was smashed if I screwed more than he did. This crap is here exclusively on BfA and SL and never before. Pre-Legion casuals had always fighting chance, difference between worst and best PvP gear was like 10-15%, that’s why even Legion templates were designed like that, with max gap 10% based on ilvl.
BfA and SL gearing design is insulting garbage to everyone who enjoyed this game casually 2007-2018(never played before TBC). It’s big fat green spit to the face.
Multiplayer gaming in general is ruined more and more for casuals each year, by all those ambitious tryhards who treat it like second job or tournament workout(and devs are actively supporting this trend). Completly forgetting that games used to be about fun and relax, now it’s about stress and comparing d++ks…
That’s what you think due to lack of skill. You are not willing to work on your skill, so you start to look for excuses.
You see more hp = he won because of gear
You see different class = garbage balance
You see same class/comp = trash servers, lag, etc
Absolutely nothing new.
Guess what… nobody cares.
Ye? Tell me how classic and tbc had no gear difference Even wotlk had it.
Na, it’s those who think they always lose because of gear and not due to the lack of skill.
This is what you claim with literally no evidence. I can absolutely prove you wrong with the straw poll on the forum which proves forum people are the minority, on top of that, the people who voted, do even agree with ilvl gap rofl… that’s actually pathetic.
Dude you are the one pinging me over and over again, crying and complaining about a game you don’t even play. Why can’t you stop? Do you have so little self control?
Where is your argument? You somehow… forgot it?
See… this is because you are being emotional and you can’t accept facts because it hurts your feelings. It’s fine, just don’t argue with people then.
Google a bit how long it took to get gear in tbc and try to tell me there was no gear difference whatsoever.
See? Took me around 10 seconds to prove you wrong, with an opinion based on facts.
Aha, for sure
Dude did you even play the game pre legion?
Ye… Go ahead tell me how tbc gearing didn’t take months for casuals, how you didn’t need a group of at least 20 people to farm alterac somewhat properly. You sure your “experience” is not coming from private servers?
This is how you feel just because you are not good at it. Just tune down your expectations, accept not being good or play a different genres. Look, I suck at shooters, I am not asking for changes so the genre fits my skill.
I find mobas way too slow, I am not asking them to speed it up.
Yes, that’s how you feel due to your own expectations. Control your feelings and you will be fine.
Blah blah blah no point to even talk with people like you, espetialy after watching your nonsense here for weeks. If you are troll you got me. Even seeing your name in topic make me triggered.
Screw arguments. What arguments you even want, this is not about some logic problem solving, this is how this game feels now vs before. My argument is I loved this game for 11 years straight and now I hate it more than any other after 7000+ hour investment(I have about 500h in second most played game and usually quit after 60) - but there is no alternative. Thats my argument. Ofc I am emotionaly attached when I have more WoW memories than irl ones and after MoP/WoD it turned into garbage.
See, you are evidentially lying but act like you actually made an argument.
You are just being emotional and refuse to accept facts, because your feelings are hurt and you can’t find an argument, you decide to lie.
Whatever, move on.
There is classic for people who wanted classic, now there is tbc on its way for people who want tbc. There been private servers for several addons all over the years. You are just stuck in the past.
TBC, my only hope. Yes, thats the only reason why I am still subbed, need to finish classic character. Hate Classic/TBC levelling and some arena comps but at least gearing is great (yes, very slow, you are right about that, but accesible to everybody)
Your only hope? Where the issues, about the people currently complain the most, been way worse than it is right now? Ironic.
I mean I have no clue how it is gonna solve anything for you, all it is gonna do is killing your nostalgic experience.
People have 2 major issues right now: Finding people to play with and gearing.
Gearing in tbc was way worse than it is right now in SL. If you disagree then probably because you simply forgot it or because you lie on purpose for whatever reason.
So what about finding people? Gonna be way easier with tbc, right? Of course it will! You just need to inv people to your arena team and kick them, once you did and they lost rating they definitely want to play with you again! Or in general, playing with limited amount of people vs unlimited, is definitely gonna change something, right?
Yes, tbc was good back then because it was for most people the best at that time since there was nothing better and we didn’t know better. Times changed.
Here is how I play WoW. I pick a class, my friend pick a class. If I want to play arms and my friend wants to play arms we play 2v2 double arms not caring about some dumb ladders and ratings. It’s bad comp, we are on 1200 rat playing with noobs and other bad comps. Then we go random BGs for fun.
That is my all time WoW schedule. No PvE, no pushing PvP, just play 10-20 arenas per week for conquest and be done with it, then random BGs for fun.
In SL? Not possible. I will be stomped by geared players… In TBC? More than possible, completly viable playstyle where you can top DMG in random BGs playing just like that, nobody will ever stomp me on gear (except dual warglaived, Gruul trinketed 50/50 T6/S4 rogues later on).
So difference? In SL my main is 207 stomped everywhere in seconds.
In TBC I will be BiS PvP geared in first 2 seasons where S1 and S2 gear dont require any rating. In S3 and S4 I will be almost BiS with missing sholders and weapon. How can you not see that difference? In TBC it’s long process but you are not forced to push. In SL you got nothing without pushing. On top of that gap between S1 and S4 gear is as big in TBC as gap between upgraded honor gear and upgraded conquest gear within single season of SL.
Aha? In TBC the people who push for gear and will have it before you will, will not stomp you? Ok.
So in tbc playing low rated vs noobs is fine, in SL not? This is very weird way of thinking. Also you are not getting stomped because of gear in SL, it’s because you are ultra casual not willing to learn anything about the classes, comps, etc. I started several alts from scratch, played with people from LFG and the gear didn’t stop me from anything.
S1 and S2 is true, besides the fact it will take you ages and you will get farmed by other people who already have the gear. S3 you will miss shoulder and weapon which will have a significant impact. S4 you need rating for maaaaany items. So ye, you obviously played on private servers or you simply can’t remember it.
The fact is, nothing will change for you. You will get stomped by people with more gear because most people will just farm it faster than you. Later on people will have the rating you don’t and still outgear and farm you.
Seems like you just created something in your bubble that fits your feelings. Your bubble will burst once you are playing tbc, I have zero doubts.
Edit: I am not even mentioning the balance of tbc… you could literally call SL ultra balanced compared to tbc…
There is difference between being stomped for finite period of time and infinite period of time. If I could grind 226 ilvl on SL with 1200 rating but it was so slow that I would have it 3 weeks before season ends I don’t care. There is huge difference between being stomped with light at the end of the tunnel and being stomped and stuck without moving single ilvl. One makes you play more. Second makes you buy boost or quit.
So you basically want to compete without putting the effort which is required for that.
On top of that you seem to think you are the only one being outgeared. As I said, I leveled several alts recently, the gear didn’t stop my progression. It’s definitely a convenient excuse, sure but that’s not the reason that stops you from anything.
Also, I could definitely gear an alt easier right now than it was the case in tbc, claiming anything else is a straight lie.
Yeah. Eaxctly. See - you get it. I want to be completly competitive on moment by moment gameplay level - like smashing someones face with that big hammer hanging on my back for FUN itself - in open world/duel/bg/arena from ranked to unranked even with second grade lower effort PvP gear.
Thats exactly what I (and many other people here) want. Not templates, no stupid hidden scaling and no ‘f2p hack and slash mobile game’ power gaps in gearing.
Yes, 2100 player deserves something extra for their extra effort. But that something should be title, mount, skin and if you need something in sense of power level then make it few extra gem slots to slightly boost their chosen stats to minmax it few %. But thats it.
This is exactly what you don’t want. You could be competitive but you are not willing to put the required effort, so you pick the most convenient excuse.
You realize that your entire “argument” collapses due to the fact that people (including myself) can gear alts without boosting (or playing with a high gear friend). It is definitely annoying but it doesn’t change the fact it’s not hard to get there. You just are not willing to put in the effort.
If that was true, how come barely anyone participated in the forum straw poll? On top of that obviously most people who cry about that are on forums (they are not even playing but still crying on forums lol) but yet the forum straw poll shows people want the ilvl gap… lol^^
Straw poll says people want ilvl gap that is only 9 ilvl difference. 9 ilvl vs 20-26ilvl difference is huge.
The gap is too big, that’s for certain… why do we have 7 ranks on honor gear; why do we have heroic dungeons when they become completely irrelevant after the first few weeks?
We have so many unnecessary item level gaps before we get to the actual gearing between 200 and 227, which is when it really starts to slow down.
Also Nobody cares about you and your stupid opinions.
The difference is that my opinion leads to success, your opinion leads to QQ on the forum
