I don’t think I have ever really enjoyed Torghast. It held a lot of promise but ended up as Choregast and sadly, they still don’t get it.
No, not alone… But it is definately more fun with friends than the last iteration…
Still a sorry excuse for what it had/has potential to be.
It is more fun, but I wanted more and shorter floor. More anima power=more fun.
I find Torghast fun : sometimes solo and sometimes in a guild group - it makes a change from quests, dungeons and raids
I don’t like that it’s easier to get a flawless run layer 12 in a group, torghast shoud be balanced for solo gameplay, i get layer 12 solo flawless in time but in groups it’s kinda free.
Nope. In some ways it is better, but overall, meh.
I dislike the rating, dislike the timers, dislike that I am judged and scored - while all I want is to play & have fun.
I wish they had made proper dedicated Torghast+ with leader boards and stuff for people who enjoy the challenge and competition.
One of many reasons why I unsubbed and not playing any more tbh.
I tried it once just to see what it was like. I did a Layer 1 just to see what happens on the easiest version before I would try harder Layers.
I cleared the first floor and got 82%, don’t know where the extra 18% could have been, maybe a hidden door? meh.
Missed a stairway or something on floor 2 and got 50%.
Cleared floor 4 and got 74%, not sure what I missed here.
Got 2 stars and thought to myself if I get two stars on the easiest Layer then I guess I’m probably not cut-out for Torghast.
I would have thought that I have had to try pretty hard to score that low.

And if you wonder, I hate Thorgasth, both version
I don’t like any of them.
I found visions to be more enjoyable despite the annoying timer.
I think the reason why is because there were only 2 and i could get some gear off it. Also, they took less time than torghast.
Also… why 2? That annoys me so much. Why can’t we have only one weekly one and fold the reward to it?
But, end of the day, it’s terrible no matter what. Islands were better than this, and islands were unrewarding.
Honestly, i wish theyd stop wasting resources on this stuff when they don’t know what it’s for.
God… i miss the old legendary quest chains (mop, wod). You could complete them doing what you usually did.
Go back to that please.
These Diablo-ish systems can F right off.
for me its a similar thing between 9.0 and 9.1, i think the scoring system in there actually is better overall because it leaves you something to work for, rather than just being a free game like the warfronts where.
the idea that you can do it on alts easier now because it doesnt matter too much fi you die, there is no chance for example that you die too many times and then get locked out by the tarragrue.
i think when it comes to torghast overall it depends on the player, im a huge fan of roguelike games, so i enjoy the gameplay loop in torghast, others may not.
BfA was very solo and casual friendly and SL is a deliberate move away from that. As BfA progressed, the new systems in the patches made it easier and easier for non M+ / Raid / Rated PvP players to compete for gear. With Visions gear and Warmode gear scaling it was possible for a player like me to compete 1v1 on an equal footing with “elite” end-game players in what was a Warmode-leaning expansion.
But I’m not main target audience for WoW I suppose. I don’t like M+ or Raid and WoW PvP is not proper PvP. BfA worked for me, but not for many players so who am I to judge? My sub expires in August and I’ll just become one of those casuals who subs every so often for new patches.
Faster, less grindy & last boss hp doesnt reset so unfair oneshots can be countered & you dont have to pick abillities based on how to defeat last boss
im lovin it
Still like it but I hate the timer.
The deaths impact your score quite heftily if it does keep oneshotting you though.
Much agreement here. I generally just think the whole thing needs more time put into it, the talent tree could be more interesting, the torments could be more interesting, and the score bonuses could be better thought out or at least have more of them to choose from.
Some convenience talents could be added too I feel, how about something that allows you to break the ashen phylacteries from a 40 yd range so you don’t have to spend ages wondering around breaking them, gives you a better score due to time spent being less.
How about a talent which reduces the effect of tower sentinels, so that you aren’t as slowed down by them before you kill them, would help get a better score as your time would be better and you’d generally not have as much of a power debuff.
I wish there were just some fun talents too, I always suggest a grappling hook talent which gives you a hook at all times during Torghast, and then the level designers could add cool things into various levels that can only be reached with a grappling hook. Maybe minibosses, anima powers, what about an optional portal to an entire bonus floor?
I dont care bout the score, i just want le soul cinders :]
and soul ash for 235 legos for my alts
nope i have never liked this trash
I still enjoy most wings of Torghast except Mort’regar. I hate it so much that I actually skip it most of the time.
Overall 9.1 really improved Torghast a lot, but I wish it wasn’t tied to progression in the first place. The mandatory wings burn me out so I don’t really want to do Twisting Corridors. If they had made Twisting Corridors the entirety of Torghast and expanded on its cosmetic rewards, I think it would be much more enjoyable.
Mort’regar is bad, yes, but coldheart interstitia is just as horrible if you asks me…
Mort is the hell wing.
Tiny platforms with mobs that aggro you on arrival and pull the entire platform.
Mobs that spam a healing absorb nuke
Mobs that vanish mid combat and gank you later
Mobs that drop crap everywhere
Mobs that come back from the dead
All in one place. Meanwhile Skoldus Halls has like nothing interesting going on at all. Just what.
