Every time blizzard drops a UI update, I need another add-on to un-toss that salad.
Back in the past, all I required was CT-MOD to lay the 2 extra hot bars over my right-hand extra bar to store all that extra skills you might want to have but use like once every 10 min, without pushing your quest-tracker and maps 3 inches further into the middle of the screen using the basic extra bars.
Then they broke the interface in two halves and MUSHED the bags and micro menu in the corner.
And then the DF interface drop
Now I require ct mod / bartender 4 / Larger Name Plates/ Plater / Move anything / Deja Character Stats and weak auras to make the interface not resemble a moba game.
Almost have it back to where it belongs, but I wish the micro menu wasn’t a gray uni-color mess of shapes.
Sadly that’s on you ! I got no problem with that and idkn what you talking about bags even. Exp/rep bar is just where it’s sposed to be.
Simple facts: No matter what they do,or how they do it,there will always bbe someone who doesn’t like it. So either get over it or put back ElvUi and go on.
I never used a single addon to modify the default UI. It will probably be the first time I’m going to get one in order to replace this mess with the classic interface again given Blizzard won’t provide an option to switch between both UIs themselves. Do get your annoyance though. Probably spent 4 hours the past two days in order to create a set-up that at least in parts isn’t an aesthetical pain. Been repeatedly fine tuning during raid also because you don’t even recognise a lot of issues until the elements are activated in fight.
Theres a option to resize full ui in graphic options i think.
You can try to make those things you said bigger and then use the ui to make the bars more little.
its bad especially when u have to change something like in raid… and its stuck in combat, then u have to reload and u die while its rleoading
I discoverd that in the new UI u are not able too click true buffs on your target also not on your personal resource display,
This means if you are in combat with multiple enemies you are often in the situation that you mousclick too spin your char or view but it doesn’t work because you click on a buff, which you got a lot if you play Assa or a Dot specc
I got treathplates as Addon solution, but a simple interface option witch [ click true buffs ] would be the solution
Also Personal resource display is buggy with combopints
Here I will show you. When you click on an item in the 1st bag the action bars behind the bag go infront. It doesn’t matter is it a combined or split bags

As you will see it is a big problem.
The reputation/experience bar is a break deal for me. I use action bars 120% size with 13 buttons per row. So If I can’t scale/move/hide the experience/reputation bar it is a huge problem.
Why can’t I split the 2nd bar from the 1st row too?

I find the marked with red number 2 useless. I don’t need arrows to switch. I need all my action bars shown.
Your last statement is just flat out false.
The old UI bugger me since I started playing and using addons is a result of that.
Modding the UI and the size of the addon community is a direct result of the old ui being poor.
Is the new UI for everyone? No.
Was the old one for everyone? Hello no.
Addons will remain a thing.
Those who dislike the changes can resort to addons again.
I personally welcome this new UI with open arms and my eyes arent that fabulous either.
They don’t care even alittle bit about the EU forums tho.
If you want to make attention, then it is twitter or Reddit that should be used.
Or have Asmongold and Various other creators make a video about it that gets like 4 million views each
I really wish they kept an overall UI scale, i have gammy eyes and now i have to manually increase the scale of everything.
Edit: Oh just looked in video options and there’s still a ui scale, nice.
I was hoping Character / Bag / Achievement / Quest window would be movable and resizeable. i find questwindow and character window too small for my liking, the text is small. Strange they didnt allow us to tweak that. I rather would have the character window more towards the center of my screen rather to the left far side.
too much locked and un-resisable elements. also is it just me or did they make the little hp bar under the character nearly invisible now? forcing us to put the big bulky hp bar in the middle of the screen instead. i have a hard time monitoring my hp/focus
Google isn’t better at designing user friendly interface. Google + died because of that… People don’t want to search or adjust interface elements for hours. The patience and attention span of most users these days is horribly short. I see it on my own websites, they can’t even be arsed to click category links on the main page anymore but want instant access to post sources.
If new players log in to World of Warcraft and realise that they have to play Mahjong-Solitaire-Puzzles with the interface first, in order to feel comfortable with the screen display, it will put them off real quick. The building mode works fine for Sims because it is based on architectural software and made for people who like building. WoW is not a builders game and if they intend to enrich it with building, then please go and finally bring proper player housing out but don’t waste the player’s time with amateur builder’s mode for the interface…
Stance bar is a mess… I need to place it individually for all characters that have a stance because it fills from right to left instead of left to right, so if one class has more stances than the other, they can’t be made flush with th left boder of a action bar below.
Cast bar overlapps with the pet tag that can’t be moved separately and target of target bar has the enemy cast bar so far below the portrait that a cast is now easier to miss than before.
Otherwise I’m quite happy… especially that you can hide the art, which wasted a lot of good space before.
