In german language we use “you” also for making theoretical examples which can be in context of “someone/somebody” instead of the actual “you”.
Also, english has this problem with the you (singular) and you (plural).

Also, I don’t want to “take away” flying from other players. I just want flying to be more tied to risks so it is a “high risk, high reward” feature instead.
The problem with only restricting one zone would be, that players then complain how much it sucks for them to play in that zone.
But if it is in general different than now they will get used to it and deal with the change.
That’s not something in game design that makes sense but psychology.
I watched a few videos of people playing in ZM and it convinced me not to get there. So I mostly agree with you.
However, the fact that the minority of the players complain about a single zone still doesn’t mean everyone else has to be affected, no? Blizzard limited this to ZM (and I suppose in BfA zones because I’ve seen people complain about them as well) so your frustration is best aimed at that zone in particular, no?
Let’s recognize the latter part as an opinion. As for the former part, you’d definitely be taking away something from me e.g. me freely roaming around looking for treasures or rare monsters. If Blizzard removes that they’re losing me the next day.

No, because I have that opinion in general and not just because of ZM complains.
You can still roam around freely, as same as you can on the ground. You just have to deal with the enemies in the air as I have to deal with all the enemies on the ground.
That is actual fairness. Why should you have the easy mode in air while I have it not that way on the ground? Where is the “fairness” in that?
God beware, you have to play the game to waste your time. Games are basically wasting time. If you are not ready to waste your time on a game, then don’t play games.
People love flying IRL. Yet Planes damage the World with their Kerosene. People love to drive their cars. But the cars also damage the World with their CO2.
Just because an effect is not clearly visible, doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
Again, I am not asking for Flying being removed. I am only asking for it to be harder to do. You can still fly as you want. But you also should have to deal with consequences.

You are somehow under the perception that me wanting to keep what’s already in the game – and something that gives freedom and something that objectively doesn’t ruin anybody’s gaming time – is somehow detrimental to the play of many other players.

The so called “subjective preferences” you don’t want to see as facts are not the problem. The problem is you not even trying to understand the perspective of others.

I did respond in exactly such a manner and the fact that you require me to word myself in a very specific way is your problem and not mine. I meant EXACTLY what you gave as examples: you think flying should be more punitive because X or Y, I said I disagree and your issues with it are in my mind minor.
What more do you need?
Please argue in good faith. You are reaching for isolated words and defects of human language. I believe you understood me just fine, now you seem petty and like you want to “win”.
That’s not my goal here and IMO it shouldn’t be yours either. The goal should be to understand each other even if we disagree.
