I think most races should be able to do all classes with 2 exceptions.
Only Dracthyr can be evokers.
Demon hunters can only be night elves and blood elves and also probably void elves and nightborne. Or another words elven races.
i am pretty sure they said that they will gradually eventually open all classes to all races . they have already started it by making rogue mage priest available for all.
Priests are different and easier to become then paladins. Undead would burn up and die if they came close to the devotion to the light required to be a paladin. And tbh it would just feel wrong if undead pallys were a thing

How about an undead paladin using the dark instead of light.
Druid mechognomes, shapeshifted cat and bear forms with mechanical limbs.
Thatâd be cool tho and probably explainable

Itâs not about dumb lore reasons, Blizzard couldnât care, they are going to port all classes to all races, itâs just done in order of cost.
Rogue/mage etc. is basically zero effort.
For paladin, they have to give each race a unique dumb charger animation.
For druid significantly more, hence we are still stuck with only uggo races as druids.
if Nelf get pala why not Druid for all races ? XD even undead ? or DH for Draenei / Troll ?
