Nightborne: the fixes we need

Standard NPCs have mana hair and hands:

I want arcane hands as an option. We should be able to recreate most NPC looks.

Faces first

Yes, I agree, Nightborne should have faces, would be weird otherwise.

Maghar got features of the normal orc.

Void elves got features of the belves.

I don’t know why they keep ingnoring the Nightborne.

because your not a popular race ?

It’s not popular due to the long achievement chain and each quest requires reputation, ones who play Nightborne were doing all this in Legion, as a new player there is no way to do it all from 0 without iron patience.

Another reason why the race is not popular is due to the fact that we did not get actual NPC models but got knockoff version of Nighelf and Nightborne.

Still wondering, if they (devs) will ever answer to the issues with the Nightborne, I honestly started losing my faith in any revamp.

This encapsulates my feelings so well. I made a serious attempt when playing on US realms, but I managed halfway before I switched to here.

I unlocked Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves together, got the reputation in three days. But I am absolutely dreading going through the entire Suramar introduction and then the actual quests
I wish the zone was at least not maximum-level only

If it helps, the quest chain is actually quite good.

Exactly.

But, however just because the race is not popular as other, doesn’t mean that we need to look different from our NPC versions.

As Puny mentioned, if it was Vulpera or KT Humans were not looking like their NPC counterparts it wouldn’t be acceptable, but for the Nightborne it is acceptable.

Yesterday, went to Nigthold to farm my Thalyssra mog, yet again went out heartbroken, not because the item did not drop, but for the fact that I look so different compared to my NPC fellows.

Even the statues, that Gul’dan uses to awake the Illidan has the narrow eyes.

Human’s having the narrow eyes, suggest that we can have those eyes and the NPC faces of the Nightborne.

After all, I just want the Blizzard to say, we will work on the Nightborne or no we will not.

Race shouldn’t be updated or customized for the popularity, IMHO.

It is definitely very immersive, agreed! Just that trying to do it in long goes can burn out somewhat.

It is good, and I have enjoyed every part of it, I remember waking up and thinking what will be the next?

But only thing annoying is each quest is locked behind the rep gate, hopefully in Shadowlands, the rep gate will be removed.

What’s most insulting are the faces. They aren’t the only ones guilty of it, though. Kul Tirans, Nightborne and Zandalari all suffer from the same face problem. The only thing that’s different are lines here or there, but the geometry is the same.

Could just remove the questing requirement too and only keep the recruitment quest. Especially with new players only leveling in BFA and thus getting certain allied races unlocked for “free” via questing.

But yeah the Suramar zone has the best quest line and is the prettiest. It is really enjoyable to do, though not a fan of the stealth parts, fortunately you can ignore stealth when you outlevel it. They should nerf the Ancient Mana requirements however.

The annoying part is them putting them on the backburner for not being a super popular race - but they’re not popular, because they were released half-baked.

I hate how Blizzard works sometimes  I hope they give Nightborne love in an upcoming patch after SL release.

I don’t think they’re unpopular, despite their flaws.
