If they let soul shape exist, they will need to allow rest of the equivalent covenant skills to exist beyond SL.
Not sure of balance issues or anything, but I’m almost certain they will disable them outside of SL content when next expansion is released. They wont just leave random skills in old content that players should go back to collect.
Can really see the “flicker” part of soulshape going but the actual shape i am not so sure . I mean its like Kyrian and steward thats really nice .
No one says that covenants will be removed but that covenant abilities will be disabled after new expansion comes out which makes sense since old abilities stacking with new abilities will cause stat inflation and huge imbalance issues.
This is why artifact abilities, azerite traits, or corruption were removed from the game.
But soulshape doesnt offer any dps increase or stat increase its just a form with a “flicker” giveing you a blink which can easily be removed the shape could stay and would be nice if it could .
Covens like Necro that offer 2 ablities to increase things will no doubt go , but for example dreamstate for druids wasnt removed or garrsions as they offered no stats but i can see what you mean .
Just be a shame all that good work gets removed for no reason .
Legion weapons and BFAs necklace could be used everywhere until the next expansion too, you have no facts either. It’s a mobility CD. Some of Legions weapon perks were mobility increases, including stuff like ‘not taking fall dmg’ and not just DPS perks. Same for Conduits which will surely be disabled next expansion.

It means, Legion Weapons, and BFA necklace also worked in Azeroths rests areas and everywhere else… Right up until the next expansion so your ‘why would they do this, it can be used in Azeroths rest areas so it won’t be removed’ logic is faulty.
Nah we’re talking about things that are borrowed power being removed for the next expansion. Covenants, and their conduits are part of this. They’re borrowed abilities we won’t be able to keep, because then they would have to keep Door of Shadows, Necrolord absorb shield, Owl Servant CD, etc.
OP is arguing for more customization for Ghost wolf and Travel form, which really only have 2 forms each compared to Soul Shape which is almost assuredly going away next expansion having so many more.
Windburst gave mobility trail, and I’m sure there are others. Soul shape is just one covenant was well.

Because Covenant abilities were originally going to be SL exclusive and not usable outside of SL I highly doubt that they gonna waste time to change code, test, and implement Soulshape again just for few somewhat mediocre animal cosmetics which many people don’t even care for.
I can see them changing something if it was a current expansion relevant but after expansion goes cold they not gonna (probably) bother.

Embrace of the Aspects reduced CD of ASpects by 10% which includes mobility Aspect of the Cheetah. Pathfinder, BM artifact reduces the cooldown of ASpect of the cheetah by 60 sec. Demon Speed, havoc DH artifact Blur Now grants 30% movement speed bonus.
