1/ you are the one who seems to have the problem with the advise that has been provided - if YOU are unhappy, then unsub - it really IS that simple.
2/ just because YOU are unhappy does not mean everyone else is unhappy
3/ Pointing out things that have been pointed out to you multiple times already is not being elitist, its called reiterating the facts.
4/ if you believe talking about the lowering of the price is going to make Activision of all companies take notice, you are, unfortunately, so far out of the ball park youâre in another stadium.
âtake it or live itâ is just so bad argument
customers can demand things in such businesses you know ?
as I said before - they do listen, you just talking about things they donât care about
also your argument about price to content it to shallow to even respond to properly, for instance some people play very little and 60 levels is more than enough for them while in wow they must pay full fee for playing very little content, there is more scenarios like this happening, game is to expensive for many peoples needs and it could be remedied in many ways
also extraordinary profits from wow is not argument for you at all ?
Customers make demands with their wallets, mate. When you pay your sub, youâre telling ActiBlizz that you would pay $15. Why would they lower their prices if people are paying them? Thatâs stupid. If you want ActiBlizz to lower their price, you need to unsub to make a statement first.
Weâre talking about the value of the games, and FFXIV is much more expensive than WoW. Itâs a simple fact. Remove the insane cash shop and then it would be equal to WoW.
The free portion of the game serves as a hook. The first 60 levels are free in FFXIV because they know the first 50 levels wonât really hook you. Even FFXIV players will tell you that you really need to reach level 50 before the game becomes good. The need to make the first 60 levels free, because 50 of those are kinda trash.
I mean⌠itâs an argument that their business model is working and they shouldnât change it? To me this question shows that you have no idea what youâre talking about. You just run on emotion and no reason.
I sincerely doubt that. People who can abuse the AH like that are likely swimming in gold and can buy those services for free anyway by buying tons of tokens and converting them into battle net balance.
Sounds good to me. WoW is not an essential drug or food which you MUST take daily to survive. Its a luxury, an entertainment choice. We all spend it in very veeery different ways. Some go to bars/restaurants, some travel, some engage in hobbies and their associated expenses. Heck gaming itself is a hobby. So like any entertainment choice. You decide whats worth your dime and what isnât.
Once again. WoW is NOT an essential drug or food item. If you can afford it, buy it, if you cannot, though luck and look for an more financially appealing option. Same with an expensive restaurant. They donât give 2 cents that their premium shrimp canât be afforded by the lowly student. They are not aiming at them anywayâŚ
I just vote with my wallet if I donât like something or feel that WoW is not worth the dime it costs? Easy as that. If you feel that making an angreey forum comment scares the Activisonâs board of directors and the CEOâŚall power to you then?
Plain listening and acting upon it is not âsynonymsâ you know thatâŚright?
Its important but they base their judgement on what their economists and analysists report not what you or anyone else for that matter writes on the forumsâŚ
So Blizzard aims to make money? GaspShockDisbelief ? And here I thought they were a charity and doing this for âthe lolsâ.
Anyone who uses logic can see that Blizzard is just one of gazillion business. All of them with 1 aim = making money. Why some are âangelsâ and others âgreed devilsâ? Depends how their PR department worksâŚ
You sound like an emotional addict. If the value proposition of a vain, luxury product, like a game, isnât good to you, then just leave it. The only thing that may stop you from leaving the game is addiction. Nobody NEEDS games. We can all live without them. So all that matters is if the game is valuable to you. If itâs not - leave.
With the character copy service for The Burning Classic they straight up said they donât want everyone to copy all their characters, and thatâs why theyâre putting a cost on it. Using money as a deterrent is nothing new. Companies have known for a while that putting a cost on something limits the people who will partake in it. So if you donât want everyone server hopping all the time, you just put a cost on it. The only reason for the cost is to make the action valuable to the consumer, which in turn will make them consider it more carefully. Itâs kinda why I want gold sinks to be brought back into the game. Gold sinks kinda make you think. But Blizz instead⌠chose to use real time as the limiting factor. Look how that works out for covenant swapping and conduit energy⌠thatâs why Iâm fine with server transfers costing⌠what is it, 400k gold? Not sure. But at least its instant.
But there is no value in such basic services. 30⏠cost just to transfer a single character is overpriced. No other game on the market puts such outrageous prices on something so basic.
Again, the price will not stop people who can abuse the services, as they will have enough gold to buy as many as they want. It only hurts people like me who want to change server or faction to play with friends.
And the only way they can do which leaves a dent is unsub if they are not happy.
You can throw a tantrum on the forums all you want but if Blizzard still gets your monthly sub money, it doesnât matter to them.
Hence - take it or leave it. Take it also includes âtake it and be angreey about itâ. Like I said. Blizzard doesnt give 2 cents if you gave your money smiling or being enraged. The money is still the sameâŚ
