No one asked for Cata Classic!

OP spitting some harsh truth here. I won’t even go to logon screen of Cata. If no Wrath then no sub.

I asked for Cata.
I’m tired of raidlogging on 5 characters.

Bots asked for Cata, they make living of off that. First they started killing vanilla, proceeded with TBC and now destroyed Wrath fully , now we don’t have classic anymore. RIP 2019-2024.

following in your dysfunctional logic about ‘dead’ and ‘no one’ how is wotlk dead when servers are active

dunno what are you even talking about, your statement just makes zero sense.
but if you want, let me explain it to you on your level
‘dead’ means = if its hard to get players for basic stuff like ony25 on sundays (on a high pop realm) → the game loses basic functionality → aka dies sooner or later. servers might be active but the player base is nowhere near to its prime days.

but if you want numbers here you go.
i have got an addon published on curseforge and based on those download numbers
in ulduar had like 3k downloads / release
icc version had like 1.7k
the latest version for RS got 600 at the moment
that’s a massive 80% drop since ulduar.

‘no one’ = not a single living person, which is a lie because i do want cata and my friends and my guild mates.

and tbh not a single player said that they want wotlk to continue ingame so far.
some players said that they will stop (that’s like 1-2 person). but everyone else is excited about cata whenever the topic came up.

Being intellectually dishonest does not help you at all, by your logic again they should re-release the game everyday if it’s primedays launch day the way you look at wow activity, lfg is pretty much just as active, finding a group is easy, it’s even easier if you post on your realms discord server

I don’t know if it’s a nueorological disorder that you suffer from but posting un-related curseforge downloads has nothing to do with activity, if we are going with fakey fake google searches, wow wotlk was wow player peak with most consisent player count, cata is were the numbers actually dropped

Yeah that’s why you are posting in wrath era threads, i’ve never heard someone in-game say anything about cata soooo i guess no one wants to play it, at the end of they day i hope people get to play classic cata and have wotlk era servers even tbc at that, the problem is blizzard dropping new expac with all the problems still around, rampant botting, rmt, people selling carry and boosting services without a problem, they should put resources in fixing that before going forward

not really, but starting a fresh realm occasionally could get some hype (like the season things).

well sorry for you, if you can’t find connection, you might have to try it harder. numbers don’t lie.

well since i’m bored ingame.

yep, i totally agree with you on that topic.

yes beause a new fresh realm will definitely not die after few months with people jumping ship and transfering to one faction servers

it’s a hard pill to swallow i know, but those are the statistics, count did drop at wotlk by the time when activision bought blizz, got a small bump when cata launched and it just got worse, no matter how much content they add and no matter how good it is, they won’t get more players

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
tell the players that they can’t stop playing or transfer to other realms (obviously this is a joke).
players jumping ship because wotlk content just gets boring quick. modern gaming is all about consuming everything fast.
a content which was designed for the casual players in 2008-2010, just won’t last long in today.

player count dropped a lot at the end of wotlk because the last phase lasted way too long, and players got bored. just like now, but this time it happened faster.

so how is cata dropping gonna fix the player count problem other than bump at launch and nose dive even faster now just like it did before, specially when the numbers are going down faster with every content drop thats already available in retail instead of dropping cata which is wotlk+ might aswell do other content, playing with freight train lines of bots on cata launch does not mean numbers are going up

there is a big difference between “content available” and “current content”.
that’s why cata classic != retail.

there will be a launch hype, and it will die down but that’s not surprising as it happened before and will happen again.
cata launch simply means new stuff getting added in the game which might motivate players to log in more frequently.
