Anyone who acts like ‘their preferred content/game’ is better and acts like it and ridicules the content they view as ‘beneath them’ (which includes wanting said content removed) is an elitist.
Hope that helps you understand.
Do tell. Would love to hear some examples.
I have an example of the opposite: Remember ‘Wildstar’? Catered to the elite.
Where’s that game? Oh right… It’s gone because almost nobody played it.
Actually yes. But also: Where did you get that number? Pulling it out of a certain place?
The game sold over two million copies in its first two weeks.[10][11] By August 2013, the peak player concurrency had reached 460,000.[12] By August 2015, over 5 million copies had been sold, at which point the base game became free-to-play.[13] By August 2021, over 16 million accounts have been created.[14]
I hope so.
Not for me. I don’t even like the look of the mount.
But for all ‘non big 3’ players. They need to be included. They deserve to be treated like valued customers.
I think the problem is the expectation. The achievement says any difficulty and they had ample opportunity to reword that if it was not their intention for any difficulty to actually mean any difficulty.
Then five or so days before the Season is due to hit they ‘clarify’ that they don’t intend for it to drop in LFR.
It’s just a bad move on Blizzard’s part.
The season is experimental and they added the cat to draw people in. Then in the eleventh hour they pull the carpet out from a portion of the playerbase that was expecting to be able to obtain this without using free boost communities or buy a boost.
It will not magically push all these players into guilds, or make PuGs accept them with no experience and low gear. And before some smart alec suggests it, no, making every single casual player start/run their own pug with no clue what to do is not the answer either.
If they had been honest and upfront from the start this probably wouldn’t even have been an issue because there would have been no expectation for it to drop from LFR had they specifically stated it was Normal or Higher.
This reminds me of the Long Boi removal mess, not being honest and upfront with intentions always causes upset.
Why not? That’s what everybody who wants to earn it did?
I mean Tahra and others definitely got me on the wording, so I agree that far. Blizz f’d up for sure. But I don’t want to hear about how it’s undoable with PuG’s or that you can’t play it. At least on Horde side there’s plenty of progression runs months into the tier, every time.
I mean it’s NORMAL MODE. Its difficulty is the equivalent of like M+ 8’s and stuff like that.
The thing you dont understand is ppl like me and Tahra never Run M at all and We exists. We play the game with other content.
I know normal is a piece of cake. But sincerely i dont wanna stay hours to beg for a place in a normal pug just to view the ppl disband because 80% never set foot in castle nathria. Ppl like me never has a precise game schedule so the LFR tool is the perfect solution. I play the game in the meanwhile im in queue. If i need to walk off i logout and that’s it.
And bein normal not difficult we cant even speak about “effort” (i vomit everytime i hear this word in a game supposed to be just for fun).
This is why i think blizz made a st@@id move to erase LFR from this “content”.
We can live without the cat BUT if the game is headin in this way could become a problem for ppl that NEVER set foot in group content (im just doin TW and is like a race to finish every dungeon. awful. how can ppl have fun in this i dunno).
If you want to kid yourself that that is the outcome be my guest.
I have seen plenty of players with a Hc Jailer only kill to get their mount and to know that you can’t force people to play difficulties that are outside of their ability and comfort zone.
So many people don’t do organized raiding. They have no realistic ins.
They need that queue. The hurdle is too high. Simple.
Raiding has historically always had this big hurdle and it was why they created LFR; so more people could actually see and experience that content. And yet after all that, those people are not valued as customers because they’re being excluded from taking part in this season.
casual noun
a person who does something irregularly.
“a number of casuals became regular customers”
you say a casual player does normal
this shows how out of touch you are
a casual player will not get accepted to a raid they try to sign up for because they will not have any of the achievements from doing the raid’s on normal from past seasons
the LFR tools allows players who might be new or returning to the game or raiding to buy pass the gate keeping that goes on when trying to do normal raids
that’s without the fact that this time its going to be even worse as the raids are not new so the gate keeping is going to be at a much higher level
now there will be a group of ppl that say that its only bad player or ppl that cant do normal that will do LFR that’s Bull S**T or and i know i have heard this multilabel places that it because they cant play they don’t deserve to be able to do normal and my reply is do they not pay the same sub as everyone else?
i have done normal and LFR on my main and yes normal can be easier but until LFR has a Option for LFR or normal difficulty(and yes i think player wanting to do normal tho there must meet a basic ilevel and have done each boss at least once on LFR)
any thing you get for doing normal you should get for doing LFR as all blizzard are say otherwise is that because for what every reason unless you do normal your not worth there time or you deserves less
as blizzard have done away with gender types for body’s to be more inclusive(good thing) but yet they still excluding players who do not fall into there 3 pillars of wow and am sure if you look at the numbers there is more player that fall in to the causal group than the other
@Blizzard you need to do better for the non raider
to express grief, pain, or discontent
complaining about the weather
to make a formal accusation or charge
He threatened to complain of him to the captain.
complain
to express dissatisfaction, pain, uneasiness, censure, resentment, or grief;
He complained constantly about the noise in the corridor.
to tell of one’s pains, ailments, etc.:
to complain of a backache.
to make a formal accusation:
If you think you’ve been swindled, complain to the police.
Maybe you shouldn’t use made up definitions of words.
But i’ll try and clarify.
They made a statement, and went back on their words. Doing that, makes people less likely to trust you, or in this case, Blizzard. And from what i have gathered, the trust in Blizzard isn’t to high. Less trust in a company, mess people are less likely to buy their products, spend money on their games.
It’s less content to do, 1 less thing to work for. For what i would assume are a lot of people. From what i have seen in chats, a lot of guilds are dead, or almost dead. Less content to do, or rather less content people want to do. Or in this case, content they can’t do. Can be for various reason they aren’t in a raid group. It means people are less likey to stay a subscriber. And people think the subscriber numbers are at an all time lot. Of course this is just speculation. But they just did the 6 month mouth and they have announced an expansion this year.
As others have pointed out, if they hadn’t said it was for all difficulties, most people wouldn’t have cared. There are plenty of mounts i know i wont get. And that is just how it is
