it doesn’t make sense… the Mage Tower should never have left retail, given that it was part of the story, Blizzard always does things that don’t make sense… they should bring it with the original skins and some more recolor given that we’re going to be stuck for 5 months on the Legion remix, I don’t see the point daddy, let’s see if this gets to the devs and they do something about it given that they’re going to unlock the remix content for us, they should also add the Mage Tower.
Giving a recolor skin to the bear and not to the rest of classes/spects makes no sense either

It doesn’t make sense, they would rather remove what’s there than return the tower’s appearances, then they wonder why people go to the private ones that if they do what the community asks and needs because it is this one that has been maintaining the game for 21 years… it doesn’t make sense that they don’t back down and include the wizard tower, it will be 5 empty months, many people have been waiting 2 years for the remix to get the second chance to make the tower and these people insist on taking away people’s desire and hype to play the remix

We want the mage tower appearances to come back. Seriously, it’s an ever-green feature. You could restrict gear to Legion-only, pre-Antorus items if you really want to keep it “in the spirit of the original” because lord knows the way it works currently in retail is ***.
There’s ZERO reason to keep avoiding what your playerbase wants, especially considering you’re bringing back a CURVE mount and The Chosen, the latter which couldn’t be cheesed even if you did get a “carry”. I don’t care that you’re bringing back the curve mount or The Chosen, both of which I have and I earned it back when they were current at the intended difficulty, I care that you’re being inconsistent for NO good reason.
Stop gimping your own game, you could make so much money if you just made features ever-green instead of sunsetting them over ridiculous claims of prestige. As long as you allow GDKP and real-money trading for gold via WoW Tokens, you will never have true prestige. Even pvp is based on win-trading and selling services for gold.
Take a proper stance, Blizzard.

You’re absolutely right. What the community should do is put pressure on Blozzard with this. Why don’t you use logic? I don’t know what logic they have, but they’re certainly not on the right path.
I’m just hoping Blizzard reads through the hundreds of comments on Wowhead under every post concerning the Mage Tower appearances and, ideally, addresses them and brings them back. Make it hard and challenging, but bring them back, please.

Let’s see, asking please, it rarely works, the tower should not have left, they should have brought it with the weapon skins, the sets they brought in retail are horrible, and the current team also looks horrible, not to mention that the feral only has one pretty skin and it is the tower, it is no use to us since they give us the excuse of prestige, when it was part of the history of Legion. We should ask Blizzard and Ion for a little common sense, since the community is asking for it.

I thought for sure that they’d bring the mage tower back, if you look at Wowhead comments, youtube videos, comments under twitter posts about it, there are literally HUNDREDS of comments from people who want a chance to earn them, and that’ll just be skimming the surface, there’ll be tonnes more who don’t want to or don’t bother commenting. It’s genuinely going to hurt their subscription numbers. Can you imagine the amount of people that would play an army of alts to earn them all with the excitement that they’d been re-released. It’s not just a bad decision for the community who are begging for it, it’s a bad business decision. We’re telling you we want to give you our money!!

I agree with you 95% here. Bringing it back would make a lot of people happy and boost the fun and retention of the game, thus increasing subscriptions.
The other part of the reasoning is probably that Blizzard doesn’t want to lightly underline the integrity of their own decisions and the “value” of certain items, which—fair enough—makes sense to a certain extent and therefore doesn’t make it a completely easy decision.
But ultimately, it feels wrong to exclude all (new) players who couldn’t play at the given time for such an arbitrary timegating reason. I know for a fact that most of our guildies, including myself, would play the hell out of Mage Tower if the rewards were available again. One can still hope…

But this is not a CS ittem, like you can’t sell it, so the only value it has is the only you give it.
Your right, not everything of value can be quantified. I was referring to emotional value and prestige here.

I am hopeful they’ll reconsider. I think listening to the community and reflecting in the face of feedback is a good thing, and being timegated out of earning cosmetics is tough pill to swallow. I’m not saying all things shouldn’t be timegated, there is some benefit to that, but when they decide to pick and choose what to bring back, that’s where the issue lies for me. Those people that got the AOTC spellwing or deathless HOV armour, but weren’t playing a druid at the time, are locked out of getting the pridemother skins, but then other people can earn the spellwing now? It’s just picking and choosing who’s hit on the receiving end of FOMO

I still have hope, too. After many years of playing WoW, this is the first time a topic has prompted me to post in the forum. Becoming a druid main that is too late for the party feels just bad (and it has been for years now)

I want to elaborate on how amusing this post is and how out of touch Blizzard still is, contrary to what they are trying to portray lately.
No Mage tower rewards (wasn’t even asking for OG ones, but recolors was easy to do for a company like Blizzard) and just glorified lame forum post.

We would have to collect signatures and share them on forums, guilds, etc., to request the return of the Origen Mage Tower and recolors in the Legion Remix so that Blizzard does something.
I agree its plain stupid. Chosen was harder alot than mage tower. 1 tiny mistake rekted everyone for the week.
A recolor would be nice middle ground (for both chosen and mage tower), but not the original.
Why do we have to settle for a recolor? If what they have to do is bring back the original tower starting with the remix, given that it has no prestige… it was Blizzard’s fault because of the RNG they put in with the legendaries to be able to do it… it doesn’t make sense, the original has to come back and add a recolor, really… Blizzard generates the Fomo and then leaves those of us who can’t stand it… anyway, another disastrous idea on Blizzard’s part, one more of thousands.
