I don’t understand that the game doesn’t have localization in my language yet. Czech language. I volunteer to translate the whole game for free if Blizzard gets back to me. It will take a long time but I’m sure it could be applied gradually and I’m well aware of what a job it is. I already have experience with translation. They would just have to explain to me how to use their programs to do the job.
As for the language you speak in chat, it was a good idea to find the realm where the largest community from your region plays.
Definitely, someone could at least create an addon similar to FFXIV that can automatically translate chat and take that translation from some publicly available site like DeepL or Google translator. Maybe just for quests or even for a chat.
Samesies, I had frens in high school who were trying all day, all month, all year and just couldn’t progress with languages. One of them even turned to me for help, but… poor girl. She was taken out of the school just a day after.
Then there I was, along with the smartest guy of the class, with the two of us having taken a successful language exam as the first ones of the class.
Then all we’d hear is “Raaaaarr! Me smash!”
“This land!”
The Reliquary are a bunch of people who acquire and study magical artifacts. Basically what it’s saying is they are really good at their job. ie: No mystery has been able to stay as a mystery because the Reliquary would have discovered it.
Interestingly I am playing another mage through the new expansion for the first time and I haven’t read any text for quests, watched any cut scenes as I cancel them, and don’t listen to the game. With the map locator showing areas of activity, most things being obvious or sparkly and given the history I have with the game it really isn’t hard working out what to do. The clue is the little hand thingy when you hover over something. Also the important quest info has (Quest) in blue written at the start of the line. I’m sure in time a little man will hold you hand and take you where you need to go.
To your comment regarding capitals. That is just a mobile phone thing. Sadly the one liner conversations that predominate supposed interaction these days appear to preclude the use of context, references, accurate descriptive, purpose and literal meaning. Words are used as a vehicle to gain some kind of validation and importance to the author for the most part. [ not always ]. The question this post raised was actually what exactly is the ‘Reliquary’. On that score I guess a simple Google of WoW Reliquary would have been enough… for me I wouldn’t have even read the quest title and I’ve never heard of them anyway.
