Had the same issue. I delete the file Battle net from program files>program data and fixed the problem
im having the same problem, tried to delete and install still does not work… Blizz shape up we are paying aloot of money to play this…

I get this same from time to time but haven’t seen in a while and can’t try now as I am working 
Whenever this happens to me, I open up the task manager and kill Wow process and try again. Sometimes it works

maybe try and wait. idk why but it just took some time to start for me.
never had this problem before today.
five minutes or ten. nothing seems to be going on but it still starts. after it started, i could exit and restart no problem.

Yeah same problem can’t seem to get it to launch this morning was hoping to do a bit more mount farming before work. Nevermind!

For me Scanning and repairing the game has seemed to fix the issue, you have to do this before you launch the game. if the option is greyed out you can try restarting or closing battle.net and the update apllication in taskmanager

scan and repair was greyed out. left it for 5 mins and finally launched but also launched numerous times as i’d clicked play 4 or 5 times before

I had this issue with Classic while levelling my monk for mount. Never had any problems with retail.
After 1 hour i was hearing weird music i noticed i had 3 start screen opened 
They definitely messed something up alright.
When I launch the client, nothing happens, but I can clearly see the process inside Task Manager. So whatever they did in the last patch broke something.

For me it randomly launched (Cataclysm Classic) after a few minutes. But still something weird is going on. Never had this issue before ever.
Scan and Repair
Do a Scan & repair from the launcher (kill all running wow processes).
This downloaded some files for me and the game worked again.

Having issue where the game stalls in loading if I try relogging or relog onto another character… the game stops loading at around 90%. No issue on first logging, just a nuisance having to Alt F4.
Same problem, took 5 to 10 minutes to launch.
