no, it’s not working on spells which require to put a green zone to cast
Rain of Fire, Earthquake and Shadow crash have talents that let them be cast at target and not as ground targeters.
So… It got a built in @target macro…
Could we please get that ourselves? Preferably just a setting so that it wouldn’t break the skill queueing. Would make casting targeted aoe so much easier with a controller.
That… shouldn’t be talets.
Many people cope, are ignorant about it or think of themselves better than they are. For 80% of the playerbase, 1B is actually an performance increase.
This is also obvious by the fact that the top rated comment in this thread is suggesting to make an [@target] macro for a aimed ground spell.
Right now, with ilvl boost and 4 months into the season, it doesnt matter much. But at the start of S3, when mechanics are new, it will be a massive boost to have 1B DPS & tanks, who focus on mechanics, while doing 80% Sim DPS, which is enough until lets say 14s. Same is true for raid prog on normal/hc.
There is. [@cursor] [@target]
How can 1-button help people reach 2400 in PvP? Doesn’t PvP rating increase based on victories vs defeats? Therefore it’s not the 1-button that helps people increase their rating to 2400, but the fact that they play against people who do not use it. Therefore if everyone used it, then everyone would be stuck to their actual rating in the mid 1000s, correct?
Closest you got is @cursor, basically mouseover for abilities that do not need a hard target and can be area spells, this will take some getting used to as mouse positioning now becomes important but once you’re used to it ( = your muscle memory takes over) it’ll reduce the amount of input needed to cast.
Have used it for the rare moments where prot paladin gets an ability like that (lights hammer way back, ashen hollow in SL)
But not everyone is using it, because they think they are too good for it and confuse sim dps at the dummy with real world scenarious in arena, where people are stressed and make mistakes. Not saying it will get you to 2400, but 2100 for a rival player seems totally reasonable
I really don’t know why this is turning into a is obr good or bad discussion again.
The only thing important to this thread is that the orb can do something that we normally can not do/ that some classes even have a dedicated skill point for.
So either don’t allow obr to do it or allow it every one through a makro
They will fix it, don’t worry. One button for everyone l! Yay
It’s already there if you are on console.
Try sticking a controller into your pc, might also work there.
i used to use this macro you telling about but it works only when enemies stacking on you, none of top dhs use it in pvp because enemy players are always running from you and puting it under yourself will mostly always miss…your macro works only for pve where enemies are static
Modifiers exist… one for where your cursor’s at, other on yourself.
Or just use self cast functionality.
If there is any advantage of using one button assist - it is only against those who choose not to use it. If you’re competitive, and the advantage exists, you know what to do.
Even if i was offered this as resto druid i would not use it. I want to play a game not be half comatose and bored out of my eyeballs getting a RSI for pressing one single button all the time for an entire 30 min dungeon.
This is going to get nerfed. The options are be left out of content for not using a OBR or use the OBR and take part in activities. Given those two choices only there are some that would actually walk from this game. I am one of those.
I am not going to be forced to use the OBR in order to be taking part in wow content.
not really does less dps then read up guide
But what the Obr can do does not exist and that is not fair.
That’s not even a is obr good or bad discussion. It’s purely about the fact that the Obr has a function that is normally not accessible for the player.
So either allow all players to use it or take it out of the Obr.
And the two modifiers you mentioned absolutely exist and have there use but they obviously are very different from the one we can’t access outside of Obr.
One needs me to be where the target is and one still needs me to target with my mouse.
The option Obr uses is obviously more convenient
How is it unfair? All the DHs I know of use mouseover macro for the sigils.
Stop whining over nothing.
A solution, so that you can use this so-called unfair advantage you speak of, would be to replace the sigil spells on your UI with the one button assist and play as you normally do using manual keybinds. However, only press your sigils when the rotation is suggested by the OBA.
