Awesome! Thank you for taking the time to let me know. I will be a bit since my character idea is a zandalari but I will reach out when that goal is met.
Question for the guild/OP:
What does it mean when you say you accept warlocks and DKs so long as their abilities are kept in check? How does that look like IC?
Eyo! We do need to actually update that section a little. When it comes to Death Knights weâre a little less inclined to accept, as it doesnât really fit our In-Character setting much anymore. When it comes to warlocks, they have their uses IC, though as long as theyâre not spreading their fel everywhere, and only draining the souls of our enemies. Then all is well.
There will always be just that little bit of IC tension/uncertainty when playing a Warlock around us though, as is expected.
That tension is definitely understandable. I really enjoy making characters that arenât your stereotypes when I do D&D and other RPGs games. And if weâre to be honest, very few people can pull off the fringe fine line characters well.
My idea, as of now, was to make a DK Zandalari who hated that he was turned into. The Ebon Blade doesnât really do things by the book either and could have turned many a zandalari into DKs without their consent. I thought it would be a unique chance at RP to have a Zandalari DK who hates what he has become and tries to earn any kind of grace from his kin, even knowing the chance would be slim at best.
And looking at their abilities, a frost focused DK could technically walk that line as it is not necromancy nor is it blood magic which is against Zandalari culture.
It also had me wondering if Shadow Priests are acceptable in Zandalari society? Itâs dark magic, void magic. Seems quite similar in regards of ethics to the banished forms of magic.
We donât accept DKs within the guild anymore, since it doesnât fit our tribal setting, and we donât really recruit them in-character anyway. The compromise we make if you like the class/aesthetic, would be to have a Deathspeaker to Bwonmon, or something similar.
As for Shadow priests, thereâs a few different ways you can look at it. The class is a good representation of Witch Doctor/Loa Priests. A Priest of Shadra for example would cast Voodoo of a similar aesthetic.
Those that dedicate to void to a degree, can still work IC. Often weâll just try to figure that out organically through character interaction.
Alright then. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. I have some thinking to do. I think the immersion of a guild like Primal Pact is worth adjusting my class. (Iâm not saying Iâm a shoe in for the guild or anything, just using you all as an example based on the flow of conversation)
I heard their leader ALMOST won in the Mugambala against the winnerâŚwhich is from a certain Caravan btw :]
Bwonsamdi will not be forgiven for this. I will convert all his followers within the Pact to cat loa worshippers.
But congratulations.
And sorry about your teeth.
BWOOOONSAMMMDIIIIII
i love the primal pact, if you are a more primalistic troll RPer you MUST join them, they are a great bunch and they are all very handsome IRL â tzori needs your vote!
There are only great things ahead when a group of trolls gather and especially fight together!
Spirits be tellinâ me we be going to a desert soonâŚ
Aww mon, too bad the tribe selection doesnât include the Winterax, would totally bring in some ZulâDrak mojo with me. All the best with the desert and troll shenanigans though!
heh heh pp
me being a child aside, we helped each other once when aunt Kaitylinn snagged us away and I could conclude that we need to do more of that. Chill trolls for chill adventures
Haha I recall this also; good times!
Aha, itâs cute you think you have a choice in the matter!
The adventure never ends Vitsaus.
It never ends
Absolute champs of trolls, these guys!
Met them today on our event in Feralas, they were willing to wait for an absurd time while we gathered our Elixirs as we were all surprised to see you there! Despite my character clearly being overly ambitious on gaining your scalps and feeding you to Feralas, I was really impressed on how you just hopped straight into RP without a moments thought and were willing to exchange some guild lore before departing!
Not gonna lie, if I ever roll with a new troll, this guild will be high on my mind!
As Bran above said, absolute champs!
On top of being willing to wait for us to scramble for our potions, We exchanged some stories about recent events and then we departed. Although our next meeting may not be as peaceful as today, I do truly hope to meet with them again!
Big kudos to the Primal Pact ^^
One of the finest primal forces out there. Weâve regrettably not seen a lot to do events with eachother, something we should seek to remedy soon!
A tribalistic, mystical and spiritual group of trolls - if you have a troll on the more mystical side of things; A troll fighting for the Horde⌠You would do well to join them!
Tazâdingo mon!
Nothing like trolls hunting heresy together, we donât diâchuka hakkar in these houses.
Had great collabs again with the fellow troll guilds. More to come in the new expansion!
