Have you played the other SOD phases? Doing content that takes longer than 2h, just isnt in the game… Maybe if you join fail pugs, but thats a horrible way to reflect your opinion on… If you check on warcraft logs, the ‘Duration’ of 80>% of all the current ST runs is: ‘an hour’. MC in the lowest difficulty expected to be quite similair, resulting in a 2 hour maximum raid span per week. Which is just horrible endgame.
IMO phase 1 was the best, just do raids on a 3 day lockout with some friends and beer. Easy game and ‘glorious’ loot .
With the upcomming ‘3 raid difficulty’s’ in MC. I think the first difficulty will be faceroll first or 2nd week… You dont think that would be the case? People who wanna go more hardcore with the hardest difficulty, will be the most active players anyway. So for the casual chads a 1 hour faceroll raid 2 times a week is a good deal, same for the sweaty people who wanna do the hardest mode want to be able to do it 2 times a week…
They’ve previously put emphasis on SoD being casual and alt friendly, and this is a huge step away from that. Being a mixed guild, we’re not sure what to do in this situation. Some people will have FOMO and want to do 2x of every raid each week, while the others will not have time to do so.
Up until now, the “i would like to raid multiple raids per week” gameplay style has been raiding on multiple alts, and i personally think this is the way it should stay to have consistency and less of a headache for casual guilds. This change makes alts obsolete, while catering to more hardcore raiding guilds and splitting up casual guilds
I think even the casual chads, even if its LFG-easy, will go up in difficulty for more loot.
Thats why I think the normal guilds will still use the full raid-time until they are stopped by difficulty . Having more loot and a 6% Thunderfury Bindings droprate rather than 3% (or whatever the droprates are) is a big driver.
A significant portion of what is naturally done at 60 has already been done at lower level caps (various neutral faction reps, PvP grinds, ranking etc.)
A huge part of a regular MC phase includes levelling to 60, which in our case is also already almost done
I would rather have an overabundance of content than nothing to do. If there’s too much to do they can just extend the phase

Who that genius guy decided to make a 2 lockouts per week. Its like 60 bosses per week only for Ony MC and World Bosses. Then lets add ZG, AQ20, BWL… Its already 100+.
Why to make Heat Levels with MORE DROP if u also decrease lockout time? Gosh, i want to have my summer raiding 2 times per week with my alt…
All who said “just dont play” are in delucions. If raid or guild dont play, its dead. Its a classic rule. Go retail where you can kiss your bunnies once a week and do not lose anything.
