You’re not getting hit, you’ll blink as the hoj hits you, which takes a gcd so hes not pressing anything else, maybe one auto gets through, thats 100 to 300 dmg at best at the high range. The dude has now no bubble, no insignia, no freedom, you’re down a blink and your poly is on dr and probably on half hp, the ret probably has half his manabar spent and you’re on range. Press frostbolts to slow, nova when he gets close, he has to start to heal and spend all his mana on it, which means no more freedom coming out. Now you maybe have to deal with lay on hands if its not on cd from another engagement, but otherwise youre free to reset the fight and just whittle him down.
My dude a paladin 2h swing is gonna chunk you for 20% of your HP as a mage. Even if he presses literally nothing else you’re still taking two of those with your poly recasts which by the way deal 0 damage.

you dont even have to poly the first freedom, you can literally walk the other way the 8% increase wont let him catch up to you.

Unless you’re in the middle of an empty zone, you can’t kite a class that has 10 seconds of slow immunity and 10 seconds of anything immunity AND runs faster than you.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. If you’re losing to a mage as a Paladin right now you’re straight up bad. Blizzard gave you every tool under the sun, they even gave you a f’n kick.

You don’t need both. Either is busted on a Paladin. There’s a reason classes with healing couldn’t kick in Vanilla.

Quite frankly polymorph isn’t the IWIN button you think it is since you’re still going to be doing 150 damage with a fireball when you break it, and then the paladin freedoms to you and kills you.
Runes don’t turn you into a hybrid.
polymorph is the original i win button for eternal resets, once trinkets and cc breaks are out of the way you can eat drink to full to your hearts content.
And i have no problem with that btw, aslong as there is stuff to stop it from happening.
There is literally no food/mana at this level that can heal me to full in 30 seconds lmao.

Yeah that’s the whole thing, your one weakness is that you’re easily kited. And they’re removing that. What weakness does Paladin have now? None.
You must be a very bad player. Rets are literally the only ones being a wheelchair. Atleast warlock has fear and ranged damage. Speaking of fear, thats paladins weakness. Easily feared and sheeped without an interupt. If a pala throws a slow, you just cc him and wait out the slow.
If you’re having trouble vs paladins then boy, I got news for you, you are not good at this game
