Crane for flying and for aquatic, I would say carp. I know it’s a more japanese thing but a fancy fish basically.
But really I would be good with pandaren druids, mostly because they’re neutral so both faction would get one.

There’s always a matter of lore. It may sound cool, but the Celestials aren’t associated with shapeshifting. Their teachings are about getting better as the people are, not someone else. And if we take outsider deities, it certainly doesn’t sound right for a Pandaren to worship anything that gives them power… otherwise the sha would be running rampant still.
I grt your point but the thing is that Blizzard is planning to allow every race to be any class but one step at the time. Pandaren druids are bound to happen and it actually makes sense.
Pandaren are neutral, some of them choose to join horde/alliance but most of them are still on their island as if MoP never happened. Same explanation could be given to pandaren druids, some of them decided to protect nature at any cost and while doing that they eventually got better and better at it and now they are as good as night elf, trolls and the rest of druid races.
Nom the reason Pandaren druids aren’t a thing is that they are civilised in the sense that they do not derive power from nature. They just farm and eat, that’s about as close as they get.
Another tricky factor is putting in a panda in combat. China isn’t gonna like that.

and anyway, pandaren turning to a panda, its redundant.
I would put a giant turtle instead for tank form. That could work, kind like a snapping turtle. Those things can take off your arm.

Didn’t they say they would give more races, more classes in a video. Might have been an interview. It’s about drip feeding players content

too many classes is too hard to balance. too many spells to work with. too much to work with when making boss raids.
more races just means more work on animations and visuals, instead of actual content.
which means less time (and money) to work on stuff that matters- gameplay.
more doesnt always mean better.
You are assuming, that they can’t prioritize things like this. Of course they can. I think it’s so weird to see people here saying that things shouldn’t be done, because “the ressources are better spent elsewhere” Where? In Bobby’s Yacht?. In SL they put most ressources into hard raids and power systems, and you know what: It sucked overall. I’d rather have them make Talent Trees with intuitive Rotations, very challenging Raids with only 3 Bosses max, so I don’t feel like, I have to spend my whole day/night to clear them, but still have a short intense challenge, and just make a fun more simple game without having to manage cooldowns countless Weakauras, and having different rotations based on what cooldowns are up while having to be synchronized with my tank. I think they should/can save some ressources in this aspect, and just make it more simple/fun, or keep it as it is, so people don’t have to relearn the game every expansion.
Right now, they wasted Money anyway on things, most people didn’t even want, and were overall kinda just a headache.
For example, they’re putting so much effort into the Mythic Raids for RWF, but NOBODY PLAYS THIS. Having more cosmetics, and stuff, hurts nobody, and pretty much everyone, I know, likes them. Who needs 11 overdesigned Bosses, when people only care about the last few? I’d rather have a Raid like Onyxia/Gruul, but in Shadowlands difficulty. Just 1-3 Bosses, that are high quality, and fun. Then I would try/consider to become a Myrthic Raider.

no, im not assuming.
you cant do boss raids before you do new class balancing for new spells.
that means some gameplay stuff would wait for animation, which takes time.
i dont care about amount of work, its their job.
i care about waiting too long and wasted money on stuff that arent important, but nessessary with creation of new class and race. less money on gameplay affect the game.
lots of people do mythic raid. and they enjoy it.
not many complete it though.
dont make your opinions and your likes as a fact.
So do you work in Blizzard, or how do you know? Are you assuming, that the same people, who work on raids, are designing Transmog and Races/Cosmetics? Usually those Designers work on multiple things from the Blizzard IP. It’s not one old school company, who sits in a big room, designing Dragonflight together like a Team. XD It always amazes me, when people act, as if they have authority, or more information, when they just do wild assumptions, that are really unlikely.
Blizzard designing Pandas will not reduce the time, they spend, designing the raid mechanics. That is nonsensical in 2022. Maybe it is true in a small indie company.

so no, it doesnt matter if the entire united states treasury funds this game or they make 1000 teams for wow, it still wont change that.
it was 1 new race and 1 new class.
you are asking for several.
cataclysm brought 2 new races, but no new classes.
legion brought new class, but elves only.
You do realize, that the people, who work on things like Animation, aren’t the same people, who are gonna design all the power systems and raid mechanics? And you do realize, that their Margins are getting higher, not lower? I hope you also realize, that they’re not gonna spend more money on wow, if they get more money from it. That’s not how you satisfy investors with a product, that is assumed to be near the end of its life-cycle. You are paying for a sub, a game, and micro transactions. There is more than enough money to let Pandas be Druids. Why are you even concerned about this?

Its low effort work, and will be saved for future content draughts I think.
But its better to say its massive effort work to make us feel really special when we finally get it ^^
