I would LOVE!!! a gnome paladin xD
Iâd have nothing against pandaren paladins, and I always thought they should be druids too. It would suit them. It would actually make much more sense to me with pandaren paladins than zandalari troll paladins!
Just play high elf paladin in alliance ;>
pandaren paladins than zandalari troll paladins
youre hired for lead game designerâŚcommon sense
I usually level one of everything that can paladin xD
Considering Pandarian priests are more devouted to the august celestials, they donât really believe in the holy light. If one whould be 100% correct, a panda priest whould be more about meditation, inner peace aswell as typical âbard classâ duties such as song, dance, music and artistic pursuits.
One whould say that for the faitfull pandas, the monk class are way closer to them then a paladin.
But for the sake of balancing purpose all races have exactly the same skill sets as priests since blizzards attempts to make priests feel unique really messed up the racial choices. For example fear ward were only aviable to draenie and dwarves for a really long time which caused huge balance issues.
As for the gnomes⌠they really donât have faith similar to dwarves as such. They are more aâkin to call themselves doctors or similar. A proper gnome priest whould most likely use tools to channel the âlightâ for healing purposes after obtaining the knowledge from dwarves. A Gnome simple see the light as a practical source.
I might be wrong but it seems some wild gods have connection to light like the way priests of Chi-Ji practice it. Need to keep digging up info to be 100% sure about this one.
Celestial paladins. I like the sound of it.
After all itâs not worse than Zandalari or Blood elf in terms of lore. Even tauren paladins make more sense than those two.
Stop disrespecting the paladin class with these nonsense.
Delete Pandas from WoW.
Who actually wanted a race themed from Kung fu Panda Movies. No one.
They werenât all Knights who received training to use the Holy Light.
Some of them were Priests who received martial training.
Turalyon for example, was a Priest before he was selected for training to become a Paladin.
PANDALINS!
tbh, any race that can be a holy priest should be able to be a pally
- They are not all about Balance, you will find NPCs who do mention they dabbled in the light themselves.
- Shu-zen mount description says âSome believe it is a gift of the lightâ, suggesting Light worship might be on the rise.
- Once you finish the Alliance Pandaren quest line you run into a Draenei and a Human, the Draenei calms the suspicion of the human by saying âThe light is strong with themâ.
- Chenâs girlfriend Yalia Sagewhisper is very devout of the light that is almost bordering Paladin territory, quotes like âThey have to get past me firstâ, âI will shield you from Harmâ. Plus the Shado-pan Omnia branch does mention light so it is not an unknown concept.
Good lord man, havenât we suffered enough?
My take on the Pandaren is that their life philosophy is based on the Buddhist faith.
With the Light as a figurehead, it would tend to imply that reincarnation - perpetuating a life force manifest as a physical being - did not exist at a theorem to their faith; the Light, as a faith, tends to infer that the afterlife is purely a spiritual existence.
For this reasoning, I see that Pandaren, as Paladins, wouldnât technically (however you want to term it) be a sound prospect.
My initial thoughts were âno, it doesnât fit with the loreâ. But then again we have the following : Tauren paladins, troll warlocks, dwarf mages, nelf monks, and the list goes on and on.
Actually Iâm fine with pandaren paladins or even orc paladins and human shamans. Why not, weâre getting troll paladins anyway
I think that as soon as Blizzard created paladins and druids of other races that werent connected to the original ideals then they opened the way for any race to be anythingâŚas long as you can create a justifiable lore reason as to why it might happen.
This is a constantly changing and evolving world so it stands to reason that some races might learn other disciplines (just look at void elves. They learned something new that changed their appearance and allegiance!).
I can see a branch of the Shado Pan trying to maintain balance in the world by fighting evil with celestial lightâŚalso Pandas look awesome in plate!
It would by highly unlikely that the pandaren would become paladins, I donât think they are the kinda people that go crusading. In terms of balance and harmony, paladins would be considered in direct conflict as they often devote themselves to a single ideal and fight for it above all else.
It would require paladins to gain access to shadow spells in some form to make much sense for pandarens, essentially their cause would be to maintain balance between the light and the shadow.
Troll Warlocks could easily be explained through the introduction of the Blood Trolls, in Zandalar⌠practitioners of death worship, disaffected by their Loa and rejecting their following. Equally, those of a similar following to the Orcs that were twisted to Warlock practices.
Non-Pandaren Monks - again; followers of the Light rejected by their peers who sought a different figurehead to focus their beliefs on.
Just examples that may have no basis in fact⌠but I see them as âworkableâ.
All that aside, introducing once Faction-specific Classes to the opposing Factions was always likely to be fraught with questions of validationâŚ
I donât dispute that logic. But by the same logic, wouldnât pandaren paladins fit that explanation? Especially considering we have pandaren priests who clearly follow the way of the light and not that of the monk.
We can justify any race/class combo this way, thatâs why Iâm saying that Iâm ok with pandaren paladins.
Please yes.
Please yes. Give them option to be super-fat as signature of their glory
