Pass does not work

I’m having a weird problem, where the Pass button does not work, nothing just happens.
I have tried unloading all addons, to make sure they are not causing it.

Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Yes, everyone is seeing this problem. It’s a huge bug at the moment. Nothing we can do but wait for Blizzard to fix it.

Thanks - I was afraid I was going crazy

It’s a really nasty glitch, and seeing it from get go is just devastating enough to get lost easily. Thanks to Lazey for sharing the issue back on PTR!
I thought I would showcase several things that can happen.

The basic issue is just as mentioned:
When a faster creature performs a round of no action – that is passes or swaps – the other side is unable to act.
(Certain „ idle” multiple round effects are affected, but not the other. The rule of thumb seems to be, that if an ability doesn’t have „ X Round Ability” in the tooltip, such as Emerald Dream, Hibernate, Puppies of the Flame and Sons of the Root, it is affected and will skip rounds to the detriment of slower opponents.)
There is also one more thing, about it soon.

Log no. 1: The Stuff Itself
Aldrussian Sproutling ❱❱❱ Manos
A couple rounds of passing, with swapping at the end, and «Photosynthesis» thrown in to show that casting healing still constitues an action, but not events over time.

Expand
Round 1
Round 2
Round 3
Round 4
[Photosynthesis] applied [Photosynthesis] to your Aldrusian Sproutling.
[Arcane Storm] dealt 112 damage to your Aldrusian Sproutling.
[Arcane Storm] dealt 112 damage to your Qiraji Guardling.
[Arcane Storm] dealt 112 damage to your Blazehound.
[Arcane Storm] changed the weather to [Arcane Winds].
[Photosynthesis] healed 84 damage from your Aldrusian Sproutling.
Round 5
[Photosynthesis] healed 28 damage from your Aldrusian Sproutling.
Round 6
[Photosynthesis] healed 0 damage from your Aldrusian Sproutling.
Round 7
Blazehound is now your active pet.
[Photosynthesis] healed 0 damage from your Aldrusian Sproutling.

Log no. 2: The Equal Speed:
Blazehound (276) = Manos
This hottie just passed all along. When the speed is equal, the glitch still happens if the creature is rolled to “act” first that round. Thus this bug “knows” the acting order even if attacks such as «Alpha Strike» don’t, but I digress.

Expand
Round 8
[Photosynthesis] healed 0 damage from your Aldrusian Sproutling.
Round 9
[Mana Surge] dealt 397 damage to your Blazehound.
[Mana Surge] dealt 140 damage to your Blazehound.
[Photosynthesis] healed 0 damage from your Aldrusian Sproutling.
[Photosynthesis] fades from your Aldrusian Sproutling.
Round 10
Round 11
[Mana Surge] dealt 411 damage to your Blazehound.
[Mana Surge] dealt 140 damage to your Blazehound.
Round 12
[Mana Surge] dealt 325 damage to your Blazehound.
Your Blazehound died.

And now there’s the kick: even though normally interrupted multi-round abilities don’t continue later, this is not the case there. The following hits of Mana Surge eventually do happen.

Log no. 3: Stun with a Swap
Qiraji Guardling (260) ❰❰❰ Manos
When you stun an enemy, what they’re supposed to do? Why, they can either swap or pass! And what happens when the stunned one is faster? The round is glitched against you.

Expand
[Arcane Winds] is no longer the weather.
[Sandstorm] changed the weather to [Sandstorm].
[Recovery] healed 56 damage from your Qiraji Guardling.
Round 2
[Mana Surge] dealt 216 damage to your Qiraji Guardling.
[Blackout Kick] applied [Stunned] to enemy Manos.
[Magic] fades from enemy Manos.
Round 3 (Manos swaps)
Hanos is now enemy active pet.
[Stunned] fades from enemy Manos.
[Stunned] applied [Resilient] to enemy Manos.
Round 4
[Crush] dealt 209 damage to enemy Hanos.
[Flash] dealt 74 damage to your Qiraji Guardling.
[Flash] applied [Partially Blinded] to your Qiraji Guardling.
[Recovery] healed 56 damage from your Qiraji Guardling.

But wait, there’s more!
Usually the Crush would hit Hanos at the round 3, but it doesn’t because the round is busted. What about that round 4 though? Had I just clicked it that round? No. It’s the strike I had ordered at round 3 – similar to the postponed MS – that seems to happen automatically once my side’s regained the control. Or has it?

Log no. 4: Stun with a Pass
Grumpling (236) ❰❰❰ Fatos (& two debuffs counterweighting each other)

Expand
Round 15
[Arcane Slash] dealt 452 damage to your Grumpling.
[Deep Freeze] dealt 396 damage to enemy Fatos.
[Deep Freeze] applied [Stunned] to enemy Fatos.
[Recovery] healed 57 damage from your Grumpling.
Round 16 (Fatos passes)
[Frost Shock] fades from enemy Fatos.
[Stunned] fades from enemy Fatos.
[Stunned] applied [Resilient] to enemy Fatos.

Similarly to the case before, a Snowball scheduled for round 16 happened at round 17 automatically. If such an ability is on cooldown, it will happen aswell, looking as if it ignored the cooldown.

That’s all from me! Hopefully even without a few more multi-round moves, that’s enough to cover any case you might have observed. If not, feel free to ask questions, while attaching the log of the fight.
You can use PetBattleLogKeeper to save logs within a text-friendly background.

This bug is really annoying, I hope we won’t have to wait a few months for them to fix it…

Hm, getting reports it’s still not fixed. Just tested and everything’s alright. What’s going on?

It’s still not fixed i just saw it in pvp. Ppl are abusing this for easy wins. (3x Qiraji Guardling can reset all cooldowns and I cant do anything but watch)
