So, patch releases on 23rd.
Then we have to wait 1 month for the main feature of the patch.
Then we have to wait another 2 weeks after that for the second main feature of the patch.
May I ask who okay’d this?
Buddy the main feature of the patch isn’t even announced in the notes.
Ion, presumably.
Well, if you are compensated with a +dmg done or -dmg taken buff for not having the companion, then you are right.
If you don’t, then you essentially nerfed yourself, which in turn makes the companion compulsory.
I thought this was the patch that was going to release the dinars or whatever the equivalent is?
I can’t speak for anyone else but I have zero interest in any of the other recycled garbage you are force feeding us.
If I hated everything I would. However, that’s not the case.
I’ve been fairly vocal in my dislike of recycling old dungeons (they were fine as TW) and old content in general. I would far rather have something new.
You have my permission to speak on behalf of everyone else.
I get that. And if you’re having enough fun to warrant paying a monthly fee, then that’s completely fine. The downside is, is that it’s not sending the devs a message about this patch (because I don’t think mere reactions in this thread are going to cut it).
So as others have voiced (And my dear Puny… you too ?)
Are we getting the Cartel Chips / Dinars, are we not ?
Is the radio silence a sign of last minute cold feet on this or ?
Reputation buff and than
“Undermine factions are excluded from benefitting from this buff.”
WTF ?!
Cartel reps need 100% buff baseline , and this event should give 100% on top of that .
Releasing a new patch and sending people to grind rep in old zones is pure 180 IQ logic .
So What , better wait for a year or two until Undermine becomes OLD content and than get 200% rep bonus to it or what ?
We haven’t forgotten! We’ll have more details to share about the implementation of Puzzling Cartel Chips soon after the patch goes live.
You know, this is fine.
Many people gonna grumble, possibly because they’ve forgotten that we’re only like… 2 months in to 11.1? We used to go 6-8 months trying for BiS and that’s how it was because dinars/chips hadn’t been invented yet ().
We aren’t at bad luck protection time yet, and that’s ok. But it’s good to know it’s still on the todo list
Good to know thank you.
But if this is another future carrot you’re dangling in front of us you should know you’re just eroding your reputation / goodwill (if you have any left).
All of the best trinkets are raid trinkets and I just want to M+, not raid. I don’t want to wait forever.
Patch 11.1.5:
“We’ve run out of ideas to produce new content. Here, take 5 years old BfA content. But we are going to timegate it so that you don’t finish it all in one sitting, primarily so that we keep people subscribed and get our subscription money.”
Honestly what is happening to Blizzard Entertainment? If you’d take their current state and compare them to the Blizzard I knew them as during vanilla → Wrath of the Lich King you would laugh thinking it’s an April fool’s joke. Blizzard used to be a respectable game developer who cares for their games and who made fun expansions and content patches, which was designed to give people the opportunity to choose what they wanted to do. Not as today where they essentially force us to do the content they want us to do.
It feels to me as if Blizzard has the budget of a free-to-play MMORPG when delivering a patch like this, it feels like I read the patch notes for Star Wars: The Old Republic to be perfectly honest- that game is known for reusing the same content over and over again at max level. And it feels wrong on so many levels, I can’t for the life of me figure out what Blizzard are doing while at work. Playing League? Drinking coffee and talking about how “Donald Trump is going to save America”? Are they lazy? Do they not get the proper funding from Microsoft to continue developing new content properly? Transparency to their customers goes a long way, there wouldn’t be a 20 year old WoW if not for us who pay for our subscription and for other microtransactions.
Please give us the first dinar the week you apply the patch and one dinar every 2 week or so. Thank you.
Pretty sure Blizzard are on the opposite spectrum of that.
Yay more ‘do-once-and-forget’- content that has zero relevance to character power.
I want to bring Brann !!!
