Patch 8.3 is Chaos

Not to speak of me failing visions because things gets randomly pulled through walls ( only happens on my arcane mage, but still ) and the dcs, which i luckily havent been targeted by

Sure, Why not ^^

Wrong Mythic is totally different from LFR
Has more ablities
Has more phases
It is a totally different fight and raid in my view .
Also raiding isnt the end of the game at all.
There is plenty to do in retail im sorry your post is full of errors.

I rather wait until Dec31st 2020 for it to come out like the date stated then have it come in August (which it will not as Alpha isnt even here) then ship with bugs and scraped content.

I am afraid that delayed release or earlier release doesn’t guarantee a good expansion. To be more specific:

  • Burning Crusade, released January 2007
  • Wrath of the Lich King, released November 2008 , 22 months
  • Cataclysm, released December 2010, 25 months
  • Mists of Pandaria, released September 2012, 21 months
  • Warlords of Dreanor, released November 2014, 26 months
  • Legion, released September 2016, 22 months
  • Battle for Azeroth, released August 2018, 23 months

If you look at the pattern, the longer it takes between expansions the most likely they are not good. After all, it doesn’t really matter how long it takes to release the expansion, their budget for making them is more or less fixed.

But we are aloud to have hope right ? you can not take that away from me I wish everyone would stop being so negative and trying to drag others down with them .

Legion and WoD were developed simultaneously and at some point WoD was picked to release first so Legion existed for quite some time.

Is this something that has been confirmed officially or another rumor? I find it hard to believe that they started to develop two expansions at the same time.

In one of their interviews/panels, not sure which. It’s very common to have a pipeline of expansions to a game. Hearthstone has one expansions finalizing, second in the works and like third in pre production/planning. Same with WoW. What was different with WoD and Legion is that they were developed initially with equal status and only at some point order of releases was added (movie release synergy). Legion wasn’t done when WoD released but some work already was done.

And now when Shadowlands is the major task they likely have groups working on post-Shadowlands expansion or two. 10.0 would be ironing out the main plot/story/theme, doing some artwork where as like 11.0 would be drafting concepts maybe.

Same.

Let’s not beat around the Bush, it’s taken till 8.3 for BfA to be ‘alright’ and even then I’d consider it it ‘alright’ if it launched like this rather than towards the end of an overall pretty terrible expansion.

To me, it needs a Legion style turn around, I was fully engaged in that expansion, could be that WoD was so low that it couldn’t get much lower.
With Shadowlands, they need to take their time, iron everything out, make sure all the features are in. You’d hope with Classic phases that Activision wouldn’t breathe down their neck to get it out.

Wasnt it the case that TBC and WoTLK were made during Vanilla but were subsequently held back for a later expansion?

Not that i know of. And considering that the game was just launching at the time how would they know it would be so successful to have not one but even 2 expansions ready in advance?

Because the first two expansions were initially a large part of the WC3 lore, if I remember correctly alot of the TBC zones were already made (such as Hellfire Peninsula) for Vanilla but then shelved for a later expansion so it could be expanded on more.

It is also that content is planned far ahead of when it was done, you can see in a few recent messages hints about Dragon Isles (as a far off example) so don’t be surprised if that is an expansion after Shadowlands.

This is expected. Games of this size are huge size projects they don’t get implemented overnight. Considering that it took them about 3-4 years to release the first version of WoW, i can imagine that there is always one expansion live, one being developed and a third one being planned at the same time. But this is arguing semantics after all.
My point remains, since we don’t know the details of what is going on exactly an earlier or later release doesn’t seem directly connected to the quality of the expansion.

that would actually be quite amusing

Tbc and wrath where cut from vanilla. They originally had the black citidal done and key parts of Northend but where never finished.

Mount hyjal too not official until cata but was the worst kept secret ever lol.

The “world” of Warcraft was literal they originally planned for the entire world of… Warcraft to be in vanilla ultimately they chose not too or just didn’t have the resources at the time who knows.

Dragin Isles where planed as a lvl 70 zone too as vanilla was originally meant to be 70 levels

That being said I’ve enjoyed bfa so… Ya only expansion I didn’t like was MoP and I didn’t play warlords as I had a kid in that time go figure lol

The fights aren’t different just because they have higher scaling, there are mechanics that change the fights completely. You really can’t say Normal Ilgynoth is the same fight as on mythic. It looks similar, but it’s far from the same fight

Dont forget the “killing of the alts” also hell need to farm neck lvl, back lvl AND Essences AND rep to buy them… PLZ make it acc wide so we can enjoy an alt or two!

Nope. Its same boss, same lore, same enviroment. If mythic bosses had new look, new lore or were set in completly new zones than its new content. New phase or ne abilliti do not make it new content. Most people consider finishint LFR as game being beaten and no new boss abillity will make them think otherwise.

shouldnt have complained about TF

you brought this on yourselves

i bet shadowlands will bring even more rng and stupid systems which will force you to even stupider grinds.

imo Blizzard should admit they are failing with current design - delay 10.0 till 2022 if needed but make sure game is actually fun and engaging to play

because if 8.3 design is a sign of things to come in Shadowlands it will be the most hated expansion and downfall of WoW
