But the other convenants get all the reward with no effort, just participation, whillst us Kyrians have to actualy trihard, thats not fair for me, since the rewards are the same
The rewards that are shared (the mounts) are easily obtainable with some achievements, and even if you find those hard, you can easily obtain them from other covenants.
The other rewards (the transmog) is not shared with other covenants, so it has a special kind of “prestige”.
Still I see your point on feeling cheated, since you are right that it is “harder”, those systems were not created as balanced between them. Hell, they didn’t even bother to balance the mission table.
At the end of the day, while i see your point of view and respect your opinion, I cannot agree with you because I like the features of the system you dislike.
Itts the same tier of tmog for every convenant ( ofc its specific to that current convenaant) but its the same tier, so ur basicaly working way hard for the same reward.
Imagine Mage Tower from Legion, half the players do it the hard way and somehow the other half just get it basicaly for free.
Thats just bad design, and altho i can respect ur view of liking it, if they see more ppl like this mess, they will use it as an argument to do nothing, like Ion said that there are alot of people playng just for worldquests KEKW
Well, now that you mention it, that was exactly how mage tower was, more or less . The disparity on the difficulty at start was pretty big.
Also after reading your last response I have a question: Is your disappointment coming form the fact that other covenants have an easier time getting their rewards, or that the rewards you receive are difficult (objectively, without comparing them to other covenants).
I am asking because while i disagree that they should change the 2nd (make them easier to receive), I find no problem changing the difficulty and balancing other covenants to make them harder to get.
Yeah, there waas a diference in dificulty on Mage Tower ofc, but not like this case, where its just hard>participation.
Its to late to make it harder for the rest, alot of people got what they neded by planting a seed or joining a party…
Not played since renown 40, maybe it’s easier now with renown they get more hp they say
Just do everything with pelagos because he has the ability that makes you immune to damage
I hate to break it to you. But the bosses we get to fight are overtuned. iirc, there are like what, 5-6 levels of difficulty. At 4 each fight becomes really hard. 5 and 6 is where the fights are overtuned and nigh impossible without cheese strategies due to the nature of balancing.
Which, by the way is limited to: lmao lets just increase bosses health and damage. instead of. You know, making the fights meaningful and have interesting mechanics. Like the 2 ardenweald bosses, the hunters. I LOVE that fight. Splinterbark nightmare though? Hell naw.
Not really with the case of anima. Removing the cost would mean removing the upgrades too. That’s a 10%(Or 5.1%) damage and health boost to your soulbinds we’re talking about.
Defeating splinterbark did, to be honest. Not fill me with enjoyment. I didn’t relax back into my chair saying “ahhh, hehe, hell yeah. Who’s the boss”.
My thoughts were: “Finally. Never gonna touch this freaking boss again”. I;E I was more frustrated and angry over how bad the fight was to the point where I found no enjoyment being done with it.
Factually speaking the fights need to be nerfed OR the soulbinds needs to be buffed in accordance with your personal renown levels. higher the renown, better the soulbind stats in the path(And no, this is not the case. Renown does not change anything in terms of how powerful the soulbinds are. I’ve checked).
I disagree on a very basic level. I don’t enjoy wiping and wiping and learning. It’s not why I play games. I think OPTIONS are always the way to go.
How about when you start the event, you get to choose (like with the flappy bird World Quest) between 2 different options… Easy challenge and Hard Challenge.
These Covenant activities are not meant to be huge hurdles for people to overcome. They’re mean to be a fun side actitivity. Well… There’s no fun for some players.
Nooo, don’t do that, they’ll find a way to force you to do bad content like they do with everything else
This was my strat.
Walked in first time to try it. Got my tail handed to me. Read about it. Turns out the first fight is designed to hand your tail to you.
So not only is it a frustrating vehicle fight that you have to pay to enter, and get thrown in without chance to acclimatise to your buttons, but it’s intended that your first taste of it is failure?
Uh… no. Thanks. Bad minigame design should be allowed to rot. Somewhere there is a stat for engagement with PoA, and I imagine it is very low indeed. Hopefully that will mean less of that sort of guff in future.
Hypothetically… what if PoA was an arena fight, using island AI, with you and your companions vs an AI team? Maybe you get a pet bar to perform cool combo manoeuvres, or trigger shields, or tell your companion to kite and hide, etc. So getting to use the character that you actually play the game with, plus extras. Choose your partner to best assist with each fight as you come to it. And yes, your gear would indeed make it easier as time passes. If it’s too hard right now, try again next month.
Would that have been more fun than what we have?
I agree the medallions are the worst part of it all. I think they are in place so people can’t spam the fights for free crafting materials from the reward chest. But realistically nobody does the fights for the small bit of resources you get in that chest at the end. They should remove the reward chest and also remove the medallions. I think people would be a lot less upset with the difficulty of the fights if they could at least bash their head against it until they kill it, without having to go farm medallions and crafting items for charms.
One problem with path of ascension is that there’s no way to make it easier, as your gear doesn’t matter and there’s no way to make your avatar stronger. But the the main problem is the fact that it requires currency to enter, as it limits how many times you can try, and stops you from being able to bash your head against it until you succeed. Because with such high difficulty you should at least get unlimited tries.
The colors variations of the sets you get in tea parties are the worst though, that ugly green
They supposed to get easier the higher your renown so wait till 9.2 or 9.3 (if it even exist).
