People need to stop complaining about Pathfinder

The entire Pathfinder achievement should not be there at all, at least not as a means to unlock flying. It can be a thing on it’s own, but it should not be required for flying.

Why the hell would I trade Dragon Flying for boring old flying? This is the first time ever I’m not gonna do the pathfinder achievement.

Thing is, if you’ve even half played the game - you will have Pathfinder unlocked more or less. I think the caveat is jyst to play through the new faction storyline once - fair deal imo

No, I get it. Point I was trying to make, I guess was that if you look at Dragon Flying, it was available from day 1 of Dragonflight, not almost 1 year into it. Not to mention the fact that it’s actually really fun to fly like that. So what deal we talking about here? Nah, I want Dragon Flying to be the standard. Fun and available from day 1.

No, people should always communicate their likes and dislikes. Even when you don’t agree with them.

While I am a returning player and don’t have the rep… I was always against this requirement in previous expansions. For what… Returning players.

At least I have dragon flying, otherwise it would have annoyed me more. :dracthyr_shrug:

Edit: Oh cool, just read the update. Reputation stuff is gone, good. :dracthyr_yay_animated:

You like this "dragon"gliding thing only because of the speed. I don’t think you really like to press 1 and 2 and then glide like using a planer. Imagine if “boring old flying” had at least 500% movespeed… I don’t think there would be anyone using this gliding thing. So please don’t be a hypocrite saying you like this system. You like the speed, not the system.

Honestly… It does ‘feel’ cooler/better than regular flying. Not only because of the speed, but also the simulated dynamics.

The big issues I have with dragonriding is the resource management and the inability to use the mounts I want to use.

I don’t understand the need for pathfinder anymore, saving up 100g or whatever it was to get a flying mount was fun the first time…in tbc. However TBC was a very long time ago, and I’m rather tired of how flying has worked since then. WoD started this insane chain of pathfinder, but even before that, it made little sense to keep having to re-earn flight.

After I passed my driving test, I don’t magically forget how to use my car just because I’m driving somewhere thats new.

It started in WoD when they tried to remove flying from new content. Naturally that didn’t sit well with the playerbase so pathfinder became the compromise. You supposedly play the expansion the way it was intended one time and then you unlock flying. I agree that the rep requirement was always dumb.

In DF’s case the intended way was to use dragonriding. Maybe it’s not the soundest of arguments but I guess it forces players to try dragonriding instead of defaulting to the flying they are used to for years.

Pathfinder is not that bad if you have played for entire expansion but if you have not then it just sucks.

i have this radical idea … how about we just be able to fly day 1 and didn’t gain brain rot on how to fly when we’re still on azeroth  i’d buy the pathfinder excuse on other planets but azeroth come on it’s so stupid

this is why crapstic fans claim wrath of the jailer’s erran boy is the gratest expansion of wow since you could just buy cold weather and fly as soon as you hit cap :stuck_out_tongue: none of this pathfinder nonsense that ion and his brain dead team came up with

And that would be completely fine if you actually could after one time “immersive” exploration then go and do the unlocking immediately instead of waiting for 6 months to a year for them to allow us to unlock it finally.

Complaining about how you unlock flying in an expansion where we had flying from day one does sound a bit silly.
You can still fly even without pathfinder, right? Apart from the five people with motion sickness, where’s the problem?

First of all you don’t really know why I like it, you made an assumption in your head and based on that assumption you insult me. I wouldn’t use boring old flying even if it was 1000% faster than dragon flying because it’s boring. So, crap assumption there chief. You know you could have just asked me why I like it before insulting me.
Grow the hell up and learn to carry a conversation like a normal person instead of trying to be a punk.

There are lots of things Ion says that many players disagree with. Personally, I think he’s out of touch with the playerbase.

(And people, PLEASE stop flagging posts just because you disagree with them.)

Blizzard agreed with the playerbase on this one

That is why they should focus on making dragon flying a feature that crosses expansions and adjust current mounts to that kind of flying, those that are able to at least. The resource management is part of the fun. Part of why this form of flying is better.

Sure you would.

Yeah, I would. Just because you have issues controlling yourself does not mean everyone has them.
