Mostly keyboard user, but that’s because I mainly play from a laptop without external devices. Relying too much on the touchpad for gaming is not a great idea…

For each post you make about this topic, I will click through a battleground.

Oh, you have never asked why is somebody doing something you think is stupid? I think that’s even more weird.

mouseover heal/focus  macros
I use keybinds AND mouse clicks to perform actions specific to my needs.
But most important - it must feel comfortable.
Sure it won’t be enough for mythic world first, but hey.

That was quite possibly the most inane pile of self garndiose gibberish i’ve read all year. And it’s only Jan 16th.

Congratulations.

I mean honestly. the amount of people who think they can dictate how others play grows ever more tiresome every day.

Are you paying their sub? No? Well shut it.

You are a wise 'nome , I like that.

everytime I see one in a bg I just tryhard obliterate him while /rofl spamming him so that they learn their place

a) Don’t misrepresent what it is.

It takes a lot more than 15 minutes, and some people find it hard to do. I never was a clicker myself, so I never had to do the conversion, but Preach has talked about how he did it back in the day, and it took some grit fo him to get through it. Others have as well. It takes a sustained effort over days or weeks, for apparently no improvement at all at first - in fact, you get worse at first. And if your playstyle doesn’t require it, why put yourself through it?

I’m sure a good player could watch you for 15 minutes and wonder why you don’t do “easy” things to improve your play as well.

b) What are you doing watching Az’ gameplay? Even years ago, back when he was talking about the game, his content was never about gameplay.

c) As everyone else has noted: ask yourself why you care. What is it about you that makes you waste your thinking time on things like this.

d) I suspect this is just a weekend troll anyway, in which case I suppose I should congratulate you.

b) I watch him for the talks, but he had some gameplay on the background.

a) 15 mintues to bind them and then just start using them and you learn them in a few days.

c) I like to see the reactions of people, and I had nothing else to do since I was laying on my bed ready to take a nap after a long day.

d) I kind of made it as a troll, but with a serious question in mind.

Was already answered in my opinion by Hepius and I bolded your own text, which you should question with this quote in mind that not everyone wants to invest a few days to learn stuff for a game for tons of reason.

so I can report you for trolling then? :smiling_imp:

How does it even matter to you how people play? Your Boss/Clicker analogy is flawed. Its a game for goodness sake, not a job! Some click, some keybind. No one is forcing you to be a clicker are they? Blizzard is not changing the game to favour clickers, are they? Then why even bother with this topic?

All paladins do that… I mean (s)he does have the whole opening the book animation thing going for him/her hehe

I am not a clicker but I keyboard turn. Did I try to learn to move and turn with the mouse? A lot of times. Did it work? Never. Why? Because I don’t feel comfortable playing this way. Even if I tell myself that my movement might improve (“might”, because I am not sure I am doing worse now than I might do when mouse turning, in my impression I am doing just fine).

Some things feel too unusual and out of place - to people’s reaction system or subconcsious, if you want to name it this way. People are different. That’s why some are comfortable to click, some do it in other ways. It all comes down to having comfort and having fun.

If you force yourself to a new way of playing AND stop feeling comfortable, it’s not a game but a job for which we’re even not being paid.

I know many reasons.

One hand or even two not working properly, for instance. Or healing with a raidframe while having to run.

Especially in the first case it doesn’t make you a “pro”, no, but it makes games playable. I know it sounds crazy but some people play games for fun, or they are just happy they can do anything at all after years of recovery.

If you think I’m being very specific, yes, you are right. And no, it’s not for me. I actually use both ways depending on the situation, whatever is faster for what I’m doing. Sometimes taking a step backwards is faster than turning your screen around and running away.

I can’t due to some form of dyspraxia.

I’m trying now to keybind some spells, but it takes a loooong time to finally be able to do it.i started with 4 simple keybinds. But it still gets me anxious to be able to remember and do the finger change.

I click from tbc until here. I was always a healer, and i did good as one, and still click as a healer.i use many addons to help with that. And i also do good in bg’s rn as healer.

With this mage i even raided as a clicker.Nothing too serious, and i know it’s affecting my gameplay.

But for the life of me, my fingers and mind can’t work the same time, i can’t coordinate them well enough yet.

It may seem easy to you, but for some people it isn’t.

If someone is more comfortable clicking, let them do it and stop having a “higher than you” attitude. This goes for some other posters as well.

I alwayd have my mind that i may f-up others gameplay, and if i see that i always leave the raid and i never did others keystone for example, just mine.

I’m still trying to learn my blink and frost nova keybinds while turning with mouse and moving with the keybinded letters and i feel like i am defeating a mythic boss.
