I am playing FFXIV now, apparently.
I never thought I would, but WoW and Blizzard both deciding to reach their lowest points ever (I guess Blizzard was always bad, we just didn’t know how much until now) is just too much to stomach.
I adore my RP here in WoW. It’s hard to let go of and it’s hard to imagine getting its equal elsewhere. But I cannot justify giving Blizzard any money until they sort out their crap, and I at this point doubt they will.
I have some gold left for tokens, but the price of them is high (expected, who would want to pay Blizzard for them right now?) and once the gold’s run dry I am off from WoW until it redeems itself, however long it takes.
10.0 will make or break WoW for me, probably forever. 9.1.5 is not even a drop in the ocean to my pent-up issues with this game.
As for FFXIV, I will admit I do not 100% vibe with this game. I prefer the races and artstyle of WoW, and the combat feels more fluid. But it’s a well-crafted game that WoW could stand to learn a lot from. And while FFXIV is worse to me than WoW was at its best, those days are now long past.
I can tell that whatever happens, FFXIV will leave me without fear of boredom for a while!

decided i’m going to get a displate for my office which i’m trying to slowly build into the nerd room that i lost when i got rid of all my stuff as a teen. but don’t know which franchise to represent.
i think i’m going to get a cowboy bebop one because god it’s so stylish and i love it. but there’s so many great options. i really wanted to rep samurai champloo but i’m not loving any of the ones on offer

Eager for WoTR but I’m likely not getting to play it today, tomorrow morning is where it’s at.
Yeah it’s so unusual for blizzard to make a mechanic for a single expansion and then never use it again.

FF4 pixel remaster drops next week, and I’m still not done with 3. It just hasn’t grabbed me as immediately as the other 2 and I’m demotivated because I know that 4 is where things get really good.
