Pet peeves: The return (Part 2)

They’re so stupidly cute. Four orange tabbies (with some white) and two with brown/black stripes (and some white).
I’m actively dying.

Time for you to pick up a pair of kittens then!

Sounds like you might be allergic to cats.

Today I am in a company of fellow intellectuals. 'Tis a good day.

I absolutely adore Death Stranding. There’s just something unbelievably captivating about it. It was by far and away my GOTY when it came to PC and I want little more than a PS5 to play the Director’s Cut improvements.

Also on the briefly mentioned swap of David Hayter to Kiefer Sutherland, I think Kiefer’s performance in TPP is stellar - They just gave him 5 minutes of speaking for some reason. My issue is more that I wish Kiefer would have been drafted in earlier (i.e. Snake Eater or Peace Walker), because Big Boss and Solid Snake having the same VA was very confusing to me at first (especially because they got ANOTHER guy in for Big Boss during MGS4 …)

Anyway yeah I’m way late on this but I love me some MGS/Death Stranding so I felt obliged to slap down some generic thoughts.

it’s super freaking weird, but i’d be lying if i wasn’t already intrigued about where it’s going. i’m super early in, i just got the little tube baby to help me detect ghost people and i’m stranded at an incinerator and have to make my way back

also damn the game is beautiful. i’m playing the PS5 directors cut that just dropped and it’s real pretty

On the lead up to Stormblood.

End of Heavensward Spoilers

Done with the Warriors of Darkness, now onto the Griffin and Baelsar’s Wall

Question to the DnD savvy folk. Realistically, how likely is it to have a DnD campaign for one person? Meaning a DM and one player. I have DMd a homebrew for a group of 3 before, but I’m not sure I’d be able to make one for a single person.

I don’t really see/hear of it much, but it’s possible - you just need to be careful with balancing things since a party of three or even two will be able to deal with far greater threats than just one character!

I imagine I could bring and remove npcs I’d be rping to make journey not too lonely and help with balancing. But I fear it would turn into a one man (me) show.

Forgot I’ll have to deal with the Nero and Grynewaht bit after doing Baelsar’s Wall

Just want to get to Stormblood!

You could! I’d say just be careful not to put too much emphasis on them and leave the spotlight on the player character, still. I think it’s perfectly doable and wouldn’t be discouraged, I just think it’s something to keep in mind!

As an example for combat situations, if you’ve the player, two npcs, and three enemies, that’d be one turn for the player, one for the enemies, and one for each NPC - that’s three turns where you’re busy, and one where the (other) player is doing things! You could make smaller encounters, or find other solutions, like letting the player control one of their allies if they’d be up for that for example! I think the latter is done in the ‘Essentials Kit’ for 5e.
