You meet her stood over a dead body. Seelah remarks that they werenât killed by the fall, but by someone/something else. Sheâs wearing a necklace that hides her alignment and screams âTHE WORLD IN CRIMSONâ whenever she attacks.
and itâs not like it gets any more ambiguous from then on.

Just upgraded to Windows 11, and wow, itâs bad.
The UI is terrible. Especially the theme of classic desktop applications looks amateurish. It literally looks like those pretentious early 2000s apps that were trying to impress the user with cheap glossy buttons and garish color schemes. The theme of UWP (tablet-style) apps is admittedly not bad, but they look more like modern webapps made with Bootstrap or something than desktop apps.

The new start menu is a usability nightmare. It gives a lot of screen space to all that random preinstalled stuff, and to see the actual start menu with the programs you actually installed yourself, you have to click the tiiiiny âAll Appsâ button⌠and see the worst rendering of the Programs menu on any version of Windows, ever. Yes, itsâ even worse than Windows 8.
Itâs trying to be a mobile OS on the desktop again, after Microsoftâs previous experiment with it (Windows 8) crashed and burned.
Itâs clearly trying to imitate macOS in parts but failing at it because thereâs no cohesion in the UI.
Font rendering is the worst Iâve seen of any OS less than 10 years old (âlol who cares get a 4k monitorâ - Microsoft, probably).
The root issue is that Microsoft insists on designing OSes for an audience they donât actually have â people who want the mobile experience on the desktop â rather than people who have a collection of robust, traditional desktop apps that they rely on to get things done and want stability and minimal disruption of their established workflows.
But donât worry. Three years later theyâll release Windows 12, and Windows 11 will be left in the dust like 8 and Vista before it. Probably.
(Disclaimer: my primary OS is Linux. I only boot into Windows for testing Windows-specific software.)

Itâs funny(mostly sad) that these guys(because it is guys) are the biggest snowflakes on the planet, despite loving to call everyone else that.
Said it before, Iâll say it again, nothing is as sensitive and fragile as angry far-right gamer boys(or just those people in general), despite their mockery of how everyone else is.
Also points for hypocrisy that several of the more vocal posters in that thread went completely bananas over the removal of NPCs of actual abusers before.

I think Windows 10 was terrible at start too, right? Maybe Windows 11 will be like, usable in a few years.
But yeah, this doesnât sound hopeful. Then again, Iâm against change in programs anyway, I like the way Windows 10 looks right now and I donât want it to be revamped. :((

by the time the government had itâs way with my ÂŁ1500 bonus for my work during COVID this year, there was only ÂŁ600 left
this is not the life that my uncle promisedâŚ
hey at least you got a bonus, for the past 6 months the union and the company i work for still have not reached an agreement whether to give employees who worked / worked overtime during the rona crisis (aka us cursed souls who canât work from home) a âŹ1000 bonus (pre-taxed)
so once taxes come in, there wonât be that much left
granted itâs still something and better than nothing, yet the fact that multi-million companies and unions need more than half a year to come up with some basic resolution to reward employees for soul-crushing work is just⌠tiresome, at this rate iâve just given up
not to mention overall inflation, increase of price in pretty much anything (i go to germany now to pay for car fuel since itâs like 30 cents cheaper per liter) all the while worker wages stay the same
itâs an absolutely pathetic clown fiesta
that old thing of inflation and cost of living rising every year while wages remain stagnant is the true definition of suffering and i hate it
iâve been told flat out there is no chance of me getting any pay rise as iâm already at the threshold for my role, and the only way they could increase it is through promotion, which theyâve been dangling in front of me for months and months but without a serious offer
iâm fairly certain the bonus was awarded because iâd voiced that i might move on next year to a new role and my knowledge cannot be easily replaced
