The Infinite campaign is like two people who went through an incredibly destructive divorce in the past but are now on good terms with each other. Sure, ideally the core family would be intact and the memories of that time are fundamentally unpleasant, but both parties seem grown up enough to understand that in order to move forward the best thing you can do is let go and begin again. In fact, the entire campaign revolves around failure, rebuilding and regaining trust. It’s not stellar writing, but it’s not bad either, much like the first Halo.

I’ve also been playing Legends of Runeterra (the card game) and it is painful seeing a game where effort has very clearly been put in to make it accessible, fun and cool looking after years of playing MTG which, uh, kind of tries

The sidekick is broken in infinite, at least on PC. I played 4 slayer games yesterday and 3 of them just had insane lobbies full of sidekick primaries.

possibly controversial opinion but whatever, i still don’t like jinx as a character as arcane only marginally improved my thoughts on her

Her original league character is a very fun cardboard cutout - Arcane made it a lot better but I would have liked to see a bigger transition/connection between Powder and Jinx as it does jump a little too quickly
I adored that Jinx at one point listens to her own theme song though
My opinion of you just lowered immensely.
That said I never played LoL and my first experience with is is Arcane. Still not going to play LoL tho!

i assumed that when vi put on the jukebox later for a fight that her own theme song would play in a similar way, but it didn’t

I have the Falconshield piltover rap in my head occasionally though which is sometimes terrible (anything to do with Vi being a cop) and otherwise great (this is Vi Radio, check out my smash hits)
be interested to see if they can keep this level of quality going forward. what i appreciated is that they didn’t bog it down with dozens of champions and kept a tight cast that also included really strong characters that aren’t (as far as I know) in the game(s)
almost makes me want to boot up league after 6 years.

I’d quite like to see Arcane series that moved around between series, as much as I love the Piltover Gays (both sets of them)
A series in Noxus and showing the invasion of Ionia, or Demacia and the Mage Rebellion, or the Sisters’ War in the Freljord, or the fall of Icathia to the Void, or

i feel like they’ve left too many dangling threads in piltover to just walk away to focus on a new area now. but i would definitely appreciate that approach of having a different area spotlighted each season
