Iām still happy with Nerathionās mog and managing to make the most shorts-like pants work with the rest of the gear. Thereās only like, 3 shorter-than-up-to-knees pants in the game afaik - warbear woolies (and recolour items), then some pants that for some reason makes your look really defined (shading??), and then the Dreamweaver pants.
I want a fantasy work to subvert the Royal Blood trope.
Like, say, thereās an ancient seal that can only be opened by a direct descendant of a legendary king, but since he lived two thousand years ago, the list of his direct descendants includes pretty much everyone on the continent.
I wonāt be surprised if itās actually been done already.
Arthurian legend generally attributes it to royal blood (specifically the true heir of Uther Pendragon), but some suggestions itās also ādivine rightā, which I guess for monarchs are just two sides of the same coin.
Kiiinda working on something like that, for a sci-fi story Iāve had in the works for zogging years now?
Thereās still a royal line, and the heir is the main protagonist, but the culmination vs The Returning Evil is them being the first to figure out that the powers the line have arenāt the key, theyāre literally the gate to empowering the rest of their race.
The final fight goes from a 1 v 1 duel to, like, a 5 v 1 where the big bad ends up fighting 5 effective demi-gods and goes āOh, I did NOT calculate for this, fu-!ā
Basically what hapens when youāve had a story long enough that it unironically started out with Chosen one and Royal Blood Can Be Good, and then get a bit older and wiser and start picking at the stuff you thought was fine as a teenager
āClockedā generally means noticed or realised - itās often used in trans circles to specifically mean ānoticed I was/they were transā but Croās is more about realising it is a male viera wearing a dress rather than a female one
