If my sith master was like “I have taught you well :)” after doing nothing but telling me a few platitudes then sending me out to war crime locals, I’d think that was fair enough. That’d be a very Darth Baras thing to do.

She’s a female shonen protagonist, which people need to be reminded sometimes WHO writes Final Fantasy at times. I already know through conversations with some others who play the game that there’s a weird overlap with those who absolutely fell head over heels for depressed omnicidal atlantis hitler and those who dislike Wuk Lamat.
FF14 fans are by in large utterly unhinged, which is what largely threw me off engaging with the community as a whole.
BUT WHAT ABOUT ANCIENT HYPERBOREIA CHAD UNSUNDERED CHUNGUS CORE.
The fact it took FIVE sets of patches (2.0-6.0) to resolve the Ascian thing when they were at most a footnote in 1.0 that kind of got too attached to the Empire main plot still creases my liver.
I remain convinced instead of hellpiss we were originally meant to get Corvos / Locus Amoenus considering how many times it was brought up in Endwalker, and that the physical incarnation of Twitter as the final boss was tacked on because they couldn’t have Zenos be the big bad (again).
Speaking of in retrospect I think how they handled Mr Positive Nihilism could have been done more how they handled lizard zenos, but I realise at this point FF14 has a formula they need to write.
The ‘empathic’ villain that you’re supposed to understand / sympathise with,
the ‘personal’ villain that is supposed to frustrate you and make you want to beat them and the ‘impersonal / god’ villain which is more an ‘obstacle’ that has to be overcome.

Hey, that was my favorite zone in Endwalker! Great visuals and great characters.
I’m STILL trying to settle on a build for NG+ while collecting all I can in one run-through.
My ‘Collecting All make brain go brrrrt’ is opposed by my urge to cosplay a Wandering Merchant invader, specifically the merchant part. Like Food Delivery Guy.

I put over 200 hours into ‘100%’-ing Phantom Pain, so needless to say I think it’s pretty darn fun.
It’s a shame that the online base invasion/base defense stuff is scuffed by cheaters though, 'cos it basically makes it impossible unless you are also a cheater.

I did try and play the little intro prologue thing? What’s it called? Ground Zero?
I had no idea what to do because the controls weren’t explained and I was just dumb.
Also the change of voice actor was some incredible whiplash.
