Sure, your plans for the town of Generic may have been useless, but they’re suprisingly adaptable to the nearby town of…Heneric.
this would apply if it wasn’t the one adventure i rooted really, really hard into the specific town’s lore and scenery (I’ll probably save it for a oneshot when someone isn’t available)
I hate phoning in sick to work.
I hate feeling like I’m letting people down. I don’t care about the company, but I do like my team.
Bleh. Bodies.
Trying to explain to people that no, just because people in the past didn’t have running water and didn’t bathe/shower as much as we do today doesn’t mean they were dirty…
Please, can everyone just learn how to properly wash with a wash cloth?? It would have made various school excursions so, so much easier to bear… (But hey at least the internet now has taught me WHY my class mates smelled like rank food two days into the trip.)
Why?
But Blythan, all the movies depicts medieval times as smelly, filthy and people walking around covered in mud and , you mean they are wrong??
It is wild how so many people don’t know basic simply hygiene beyond “I showered with water, isn’t that enough?”
It is something that needs to be taught and For Obvious Reasons is difficult to teach and make sure people know how to do it
Imagine some two day trip to the woods with a bunch of teens
Teens that haven’t been taught how to wash themselves at the sink
Now imagine the place you stay overnight at not having showers
They will not think about the sink as a perfectly fine option to get yourself clean
they will just sit it out
I’ve also heard grown adults joke about how “bad they smelled” after a small hiking trip as if they didn’t hike along a river the entire time…
Best when they turn around and call themselves “so much more clean” than people in the past.
Because people in the past didn’t go through all the effort required to fill and heat an entire bathtub on the daily. Or because they kept wearing clothes for more than a day (they switched out the (long sleeved) under layers that absorbed sweat and just brushed the dirt off of the outer layers, only washing those if needed…).
Parents.
Videos.
I don’t understand how the brain doesn’t see running water and think, “I can use this”.
Even folks without plumbing would use a waterfall or river!
Don’t ask me
If you want to have another “but why?” thought though: Apparently some parts of American society see wash cloths as something only used by poor people.
Americans are weird.
Wash cloths and scrubs are great. And it feels better than to just rinse under water without anything.
Proper cleaning and shower & or bath is amazing.
I’m assuming the rich just buy new ones.
No, they just don’t use anything apparently?
Just bare hand.
…This is weird.
Thought so too
Haven’t found anyone to ask about it in person though so some grain of salts should be included
Only need 14 more keys until I got my titles
Got Blanchy earlier
I’m putting on training montage music.

(Short version: Disney says the family of a dead woman that a Disney restaurant killed by not following his allergy warnings can’t sue Disney because her husband once had a trial on Disney+ and the terms for the online service says that you’re not allowed to sue Disney.)
Dear Disney, could you please try, just try, being less cartoonishly evil than your own cartoonish villains?
Sincerely, a former Disney fan.
(It was a phase)
Iiii don’t think that wording they got in there should be legal. It certainly isn’t valid over here.
It almost certainly won’t stand in court, but since corporations can afford to lose court cases much more easily than individuals, it creates a perverse incentive to add bogus terms and conditions to EULAs to discourage lawsuits, as few individuals would be principled enough to actually challenge them in court.
Forced arbitration should 100% be illegal. For stuff like this it is exists solely to delay cases and bleed the suers dry while the corpo can ride it out.
Arbritration makes some sense when the parties involved are of roughly equal standing (Corpo v. Corpo), not for an individual (or an estate, in this case) going up against a corpo.
Anyone that has a clause that you can’t sue them is a deeply untrustworthy and immoral person & or company.
