Pet peeves: The return (Part 8)

You’re not up to Los Pollos standards

What standards do I need to meet exactly? :frowning:

You’d need to be me.
You are not.

I had myself a dream where the levitate spell visual was spec neutral and didn’t force shadowpriests to float on a sparkly cloud.

…yeah, get on that, Blizzard.

The sun tried to burn me to a crisp and all I was doing was buying food. Rude

Main class: Tumblr poster

People have been asking for a glyph since the sparkle cloud got added
We’ve gotten a bunch of new druid forms and more demon transmog since then so any day now!

more veilguard gameplay. avoid the first 30 seconds, story spoilers

Going from watching an interesting video by someone clearly suffering from shrill youtuber voice to watching something random from someone who just… talks is so soothing.

I hope youtuber voice dies off eventually.

I’m gonna rewatch them a couple times because I need more spoilers.

That was such a weird change as well. Like who at blizzard thought ‘sparkly feet’ was more magical and preistly then ‘just hovers serenely’.

Then they added a glyph to lessen the sparkles, via a cloud.

Generally speaking blizzard makes great to passable design choices, but then there’s that sort of stuff that just implies the coffee was spiked or something.

finished Gw2: Janthir Wilds

i wanna say it feels shorter than the last expac but i feel thats because they didnt pad it with pointless filler objectives this time. zones were gorgeously designed, great voice work, musics a 10/10, new spears are fun and the homestead is cozy to decorate really liking that.

story cadence was a bit fast overall but it was one i liked. it was grounded and it was great to get lore updates on matters all over Tyria Cantha and Elona on their political and societal issues atm in the wake of the dragons. if not for length itd have been a solid 10/10 expac

Damn you Vixi, I’ve been playing LOTRO for most of today and it’s been a long while since I’ve had so much sheer fun playing a game. What have you done?

My plan worked!

It is all going according to my design, muhaha.

(I am happy you are enjoying the game though!)

As I’ve said before, it is one of those I always go back to between other games. I find it very easy and relaxing to jump in and play casually at my own pace and it always feel inviting and welcoming. I love it.

I actually went exploring the Old Forest to find Tom Bombadil’s house (and almost died to spiders before I did), and I didn’t listen to that video before that. I also didn’t know that the campaign would eventually send me there.

When I entered the house and heard a cozy rendition of the main theme, it hit me right in the feels.

I actually REALLY like Bree-land. The Old forest and the barrow dens are creepy in just the right way that I feel true to the books. It’s that almost whimsical and fairytale scary. It’s mystical and eerie rather than just horror.

And then Tom Bombadil’s house is just so wonderful.

At some point, I do recommend doing what I have done a few times, to take the entire fellowship journey from start to finish. It is really fun to properly follow their trail yourself and just see the world.

I do recommend doing it over several days though, and to be at a decent level. Lotro is surprising huge for an MMO world. Moria alone can take maybe like 40 minutes to an hour to just travel through without stops.
